jazubon
Any one know if it's possible to download the Line6 maccaferi model to a JTV 69? cheers
TheRealZap
no idea what that is... but there are no line6 models other than the JTV89 high gain model that can be loaded into the guitar. and technically those high gain models are already in your guitar... just adding the models allows you to save the preconfigured setting to a location on the dial. EDIT: WHO DAFUQ would hit and run this post with a negative rep? that's just silly... is it because i never heard of your hero... geez  2

stevekc
Any one know if it's possible to download the Line6 maccaferi model to a JTV 69? I assume you really mean this? Variax Maccaferi and ( and many other superior Variax Acoustic Models programmed by Dave Frueling (now at Strymon) are only in the Variax ACOUSTIC 300/700 http://de.line6.com/media/news/Variax%20Acoustic%20review.pdf http://spectrum.ieee.org/biomedical/devices/dream-jobs-2004/Fruehling http://damagecontrolusa.com/about/ I Love mine! I WISH i could get same tones on my Tyler Variax - but no cigar!
TheRealZap
I have my nearly new Variax 700 acoustic for sale right now... (craigslist) may end up putting it on ebay at some point... they are fetching close to 900$ these days! my ad is for less, but i'm sure the condition of mine exceeds those on ebay... still have the plastic on the cover and the static cling quick start labels as well. and of course all the accessories/bag/etc anyway... tend to use my other acoustics for recording and don't use it as much as it deserves. no hurry to move it.. but anyone interested: http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/msg/4343229495.html

There are many great sounding acoustic guitars in the 2005 Variax Acoustic 700 (Classical Nylon, Acoustic Sitar, etc) I would love to install in the Tyler Variax - but sadly i doubt this will ever occur. IMHO the old 2005 Variax Acoustic 700 guitar is a keeper!
