DjEtus
Hi all, I bought a stomp a couple of weeks back and I am having my first gig with it tomorrow. I need a long reverb on one of my tracks, the problem I am facing is that the reverb trail is muted after like 1 second (I am not changing presets or anything like that). My chain is really simple - volume - chorus - Fender Twin - Reverb. It doesn't matter which reverb type I choose it happens with all of them. It must be something in the settings but I couldn't find it, can you please help?
silverhead
The parameter that has the most affect on the reverb trails is Decay. Try setting it to a higher value. Other parameters to experiment with are Predelay and Mix. For Delay FX experiment with Feedback and Mix.

Dynamic Hall Reverb - Decay Time - 0.1 ~ 45 seconds, or infinity. Dynamic Plate Reverb - Decay Time - 0.1 ~ 45 seconds, or infinity. Dynamic Room Reverb - Decay Time - 0.1 ~ 3.0 seconds Read about all the reverb control features and options here: https://helixhelp.com/models?categoryId=6 Hope this helps/makes sense. PaulTBaker
it sounds like you may have a noise gate on that could be killing your sound. Click on the first input block and see if the noise gate is on. good luck!

I have multiple reverbs, so I know what are the parameters and how to use them. If I strum the strings and then mute them I hear the reverb finishing, but it suddenly stops after a second or two, regardless of what is the delay parameter, it sounds like having a gate at the end, which I do not have. Ah, in my original reply I actually wrote that you should ensure that you didn’t inadvertently have the Noise Gate on the Input engaged. I deleted that because chopping off the signal prior to hitting the reverb would not cut off the trails, and as you rightly point out, there isn’t a gate at the end. When weird stuff starts to happen, I usually suggest a Factory Reset, but in this case before doing that I will ask you to go to the Global Settings in your HX Stomp and make sure that under the Globals > Preferences > knob1 > Bypass Type is set to DSP. This should make your Delay and Reverb trails decay naturally. If this doesn’t cure the problem - a Factory Reset should. Hope this helps/makes sense EDIT: Jason has a video:
