jimpaiva
This only occurs with mag pickups....modeling is clean. Worse with lowest strings....sound remains for 2-3 seconds and calms down to gone, then that sustain is clean...tried de-ox where I could. I've had this instrument for many years without any problems...until now..very frustrating....anyone have "the answer"? Thanks! silverhead
Maybe adjust the height of the pickups?
PierM
Those pickups are VERY hot, so they need some good clearance under strings.
psarkissian
Do not use De-Oxit. It's more than likely the set-up,... fret buzz, warbling from pick-ups being too close to strings (like silverhead said), or both.
jimpaiva
psakissian - thank you for your comment but I'm confident it's not mechanical i.e. "setup" it doesn't occur every time the strings are struck and it matters not as to how hard they are struck....very lightly or strongly....I've played this guitar for years w/o problems....it it would be beneficial, I could upload a file with that sound... If I'm to upload a file, what format? Thanks!
