Pod Express

Hi,

I've read the manual but just to make sure.

The Pod express amps and cabs are fixed. 

For example you can't change a Fender clean for a AC30 ?

You get seven amp models and seven cabinet models. You can combine these however you like, e.g. the Princeton Clean with the Matchless cabinet.

The onboard amp and cabs are designed to work with each other, and the other options are the POD Express Black which is loaded with a different bunch of high gain models, or the Bass unit. To clarify- you can mix and match the speaker cabinets, but the seven amplifier choices are built in. This is much the same as other amp simulation devices which are available, and cover the usual, vintage, classic, clean, crunch, basic starting tones.

 

Also, if you want to modify the basic sound you can do this - from the manual.

 

TIP: You can choose “Off” for no Cab model if you plan on sending your device output to an external amplifier or into a Cab simulator/IR loader.

Thank You. That's a deal breaker for me. i thought it would be great if you load up amps and cabs like helix.
