hx stomp xl Stomp XL: Pedal Edit Mode Values Keep Resetting

I'm using the HX Stomp XL + Dunlop Mini Pedal, and the stompbox parameter values immediately change when I use Pedal Edit mode and keep resetting when adjust them. I attached a video demonstrating the problem, and here are the steps to recreate it.

 

1. Go to Stomp Footswitch Mode
2. Go to Pedal Edit Mode
3. Select a stompbox
4. The first parameter on the edit screen immediately jumps to the highest possible value
5. If I adjust the parameter manualy 

    

   l (via footswitches or pedal), it immediately jumps to the highest value again.

 

I have tried setting Global Settings -> EXP 1  to Global (and to Preset) and I have turned Snapshot Bypass On and Off.

 

I've tried looking in the manual, adjusting settings, and looking in the forum without success. Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing? I'm attaching a video of the problem.

Use a TRS cable to connect the pedal.

 

Alternatively pull out the TS plug a little on the AUX input of the pedal and use the Tip/Ring switch in the pedal or Global Settings -> Preferences -> Tip Polarity.

Thanks @Schmalle. Using a TRS cable fixed the issue.

 

For some reason, though, when I tried the pulling the TS plug out a little and adjusting the polarity, that didn't work. What happened was the volume pedal correctly adjusted parameters when they assigned, but when I used was in Pedal Edit mode, the pedal acted as if it were inverted.

 

Either way, I'm going to pick up a short TRS cable now--much appreciated!
