Nos402
Just curious how many of you will overhaul your old presets to use the newer models (if they don't auto-convert). I personally chose to leave most on the old legacy models as I was perfectly happy with my old Helix tones, and swapping in the new models and trying to get everything back to sounding just right and volume leveled seems like way too much work for the hundreds of presets I've made for various bands in the last 10 years. silverhead
I will probably do this over time, one preset at a time. I find that the improvement in tonal quality and dynamics of the Agoura amps is worth it but as you point out it would be an arduous task if you took it on all at once. 1
jpdennis
For myself, I am going to create from scratch. I found this very easy in the Helix since the only limit to what can be done is not just DSP, it is my ability to create. Having used a lot of the earlier amps models from 1950s to about 2012 I just approached the amp setting like I would the analog compliment and use my ear to fine tune for my preferred sound. Everything else was just "I wonder what would happen if I did this?" kind of approach for placement and settings even though I also had the opportunity to use many of the analog pedals as well.
