gswartz
I never used the song importing before but with the stem splitting it seemed like something cool to try to practice leads I want to learn. I've tried importing multiple different wav files, set it to split the tracks and hit transfer. It chugs for quite a while and then I just end up with an empty song. Then in the Helix app I see there's an update available... except, it doesn't show up to download. I am connected via usb and have turned off the wifi on the Helix. Pretty frustrated with this latest update and the bug in the bug fix. Any suggestions to get either or both of these things working? Thanks. silverhead
Try logging out in the Stadium app and then logging back in.
Mobi
I had to do the update procedure twice. First time it started then generaten an error. Rebooted the stadium and also the app, and 2nd time ( via usb-C) the updated worked.
msj12345
Update for me made no mention of needing to use USB and worked over wifi. It also fixed all my wifi troubles introduced in 1.4.
ReverendLove
In the app use the connect button on the upper left and select the USB-Mode for update only. This will offer you to update to 1.
rawkbob
Do the firmware update on the device, not via the app. Then make sure the app is up to date. If that doesn't work use the line 6 central app to update the device.
gswartz
No matter how many times I reboot the Helix or the app, nothing is working to get the update. If I try on the device itself over wifi it says my helix is fully up to date. As for importing songs, I've tried formats other than .wav and they all do the same thing... say they import but my song list is empty. What's interesting is in the app, when I click songs I get a New Song (5) in the input field at the top like it realizes it imported something previously... it's just not there. Only *.wav files are supported when importing Songs. Attempts to import other formates will be unsuccessful.
amorris1972
I had the same issue with not being able to do the update via USB connection to my computer. I kept getting an error saying unable to install update response -3. I finally did what was mentioned below and did the update from the device itself and it worked. While I'm glad I got passed that, it's still been extremely frustrating the amount of bugs the stadium has for a unit that costs $2,199.99. From the moment I got it there has been bug after bug. I didn't get my first Helix until it had been out for several years so maybe it had lots of issues out of the gate too, but I never saw those. This is pretty ridiculous. All that being said, once you can get past the interface bugs, the unit works great. Hopefully they get this stuff worked out soon.
