Update for me made no mention of needing to use USB and worked over wifi. It also fixed all my wifi troubles introduced in 1.4.0

The 1.4.1 update fixed it all.....I had started looking after your reply (thank you) and found the DHCP servers were getting confused with 2 different MAC addresses of what appeared to be the Stadium XL although this became largely irrelevant as the update fixes it and was more of an issue of getting it to connect in a stable manner to download and do the update. Once that was done normality was restored

OK I am going to create a brand new thread for this. Is anyone else having issues with WiFi? I know people had issues with dropouts prior but I had absolutely no issues. Since the latest update WiFi is nothing more then useless. PC cannot remain connected for more than 10/20 seconds and pressing Downloads from the Stadium tells me I need to be connected to the internet. Nothing in my home network has changed since updating. My main router is a Netgear Orbi 970 mesh system (pretty damned modern and up too date) Tried falling back to a 2.4GHz wifi on same router....no better Tried my ISP router....still no better. Anyone else seeing this? (USB works fine for me....thankfully)

The time zone on the stadium reset from my UK time zone to the default USA one after the update I use WiFi because I use it at home but since the update cannot so have to resort to usb and physically connect via a cable now.

I had similar at first. I connected to USB update and it connected itself and switched itself over. However was struggling with wifi so not sure what was going on where. What I did notice was that the timezone had reset so I updated that. I also restarted both the Stadium and my Macbook After all those USB detection has been fine. No idea which of these did it or if it was just chance but its been fine since. My only problem is that I used to have a rock solid wifi connection to the Stadium but now its useless since this update as it disconnects after about 10 seconds or so

Not sure if anyone else has seen this but I updated last night and no issues at all. However, when I switched it on today it could not connect to the internet. Rebooted a few things on my network in desperation to no avail and then tried by tethering to my phone and voila it worked. Went back to wifi and that then worked too! Later on I noticed that the time zone had reverted to a USA one (UK here) so have a feeling that was more than likely the issue. Anyone else seen this? On another note, I have never had the wifi disconnection issues but now it won't connect or stay connected for more than about 30 seconds so thank god for the new USB tethering :). Nothing has changed on my network and I have rebooted most of it

Go the the downloads page. Choose your hardware (Helix Stadium/Helix Stadium XL. Leave Software and OS blank and press Go. You will get to the page with all the Stadium FW versions

Would be really nice I agree and sounds simple enough unless files are locked exclusively when in use so can't be accessed by two process at once which may be why its done in maintenance mode?

The SD cards are small so dirt cheap. Go into maintenance and eject the card. pop it into your computer and copy the entire card into a folder. Then take another SD card and copy it all back onto the new card and pop it back in to the Helix. This way you know your backup works as you are using it. You have a copy of the existing card on your laptop and also a spare card you can quickly swap back in if needed. Then simply cycle the two cards the next time. And if you really want to, keep the versions of backups on your laptop/PC

G10S/G10Sii not sure if they are the same to be honest as some places referenced it as either but G10S/G10Sii seem to have been unavailable for some time so will go looking for a different system if its not coming back. Not sure why its on the Line6 site yet not available anywhere?

Was looking to buy one of these but nobody has them and it has been that way for a while. Are they discontinued as soon searches on the internet seem to say?

Agreed, I have done the same with my Victory MK Overdrive. Just make sure that your amp uses short to sleeve. I did exactly the same, connect a TRS cable (MK Overdrive has two cables so I can do everything the amp foot switch does). It was a bit trial and error ro work them out but doesn't take long. May be I missed something but maybe not but I would like to swap the polarities. ie when I connected it up and turned on the Helix if I have a one switch switched between Lo and Hi gain the default on power on was Hi and I would prefer to change this to default to Low. If this can't be done it would be a helpful addition, or maybe I just missed how to do it?

Same here. I had problems logging in and updating and read about it being the wrong timezone(?) or doing via usb(?) I honestly cant remember what I did but fumbled around a few things doing a bit of everything, got it working, and its been absolutely fine ever since. Infuriating for a new product I have to agree but I assume it will eventually be shipped out with a later firmware and the issue wont exist any more

Not glass but very thick strong plastic and looks nice without affecting the touchscreen. I went for matt. My only gripe is it doesn't stay fully adhered underneath the knobs but that's just an aesthetic thing due to the small width below the knobs and really doesn't affect anything unless I am really looking. Much better than risking the lovely screen

I have my Stadium XL on the desk and capacitive touch seems to just jump to the block rather than work as if I am pressing the switch no matter what option I chose in the global settings. I would expect to be able to just touch the switch to make it work as if I pressed it? What am I doing wrong?
