  1. Who hates the New Custom tone site and misses the old one? The old site was fine and easy to search for patches. New site is terrible and frustrating. Who else feels this way?

  2. I finally sorted this out, after a couple hours of trial and error. The thing that eventually worked for me was the following: - remove the USB cable from and shut down the Pod GO - download the line 6 updater - start the line 6 updater in offline mode - do not log in. - from https://line6.com/software/ Filter by Hardware: Pod GO, Software: Firmware , Operating system: your operating system - download the firmware version you were on before the failed update - Turn on the Pod GO in update mode ( hold `Page >`) while flipping the power switch on - quit all applications besides line 6 updater - in Line 6 updater, choose the firmware .hfx file that you downloaded - Go through the installation steps That got be back to where I was before I bricked my Pod GO. Then, to update to the newest version, I updated each consecutive version and updated to that through the line 6 updater. whew. Hope that helps someone!

  3. I made a software adapter. If run, it translates the keyboards "NOTE_ON" values to the CC parameters that the 3-Note-Generator understands. It took some time for such a tiny tool, but hey. I do not really understand why the 3-N-G works with "Note" and "Octave" instead of a note-parameter that goes from 0-127. https://github.com/te-regenhardt/midi-2-helix-adapter Next step might be a javascript version to have it as an online-tool, because somehow I cannot put this script into an .exe file. I hope it's fun for some folks to play with it :)

  4. After abandoning hope of ever using the Line 6 Spider V app on my Mac running Mojave. I decided to once and for all try and solve this issue where the app folder was locked (see my previous post in this thread). Well... having used Macs all my life I got to thinking that maybe the locked folder was due to the fact that you could not edit the folder permissions while it was in the Applications folder on the Mac. So here is what I did and low and behold it worked: - Find the locked Line 6 folder in your Mac's Applications directory (folder) - Hold down your option key on the keyboard and drag the folder to your desktop. - Holding down the option key will make a copy of the folder on your desktop. If you don't hold down the option key it will just make an alias to the existing folder - Open that folder and now you will see the actual app file. - Drag that app to your Applications folder... Do not put it in the a sub folder. - Double click the app icon to launch the application.

  5. I'm embarrassed to share that although I have owned a POD HD500 and HD500x and loved them for quite some time, I'm only now starting to take advantage of all the amazing things you can do with these tools. For example, I used to load all my tones on User 1 and pretty much use this set exclusively. Now I need use a Variax guitar on some songs, so I placed a few new tones, specificly made for a Variax guitar and different tunnings built into the custom tones, into "User 2" and renamed the set to "Variax.". Next, I'm thinking of changing "User 3" to specific tones for other specific songs my band plays. I believe this will help me find songs much faster when I'm playing with my band. So now I'm thinking, it would be great if other pod hd users shared their ideas and methods in organizing their Set lists. thanks!
