  1. Unfortunately, no. Works fine here with the Stomp. I'm using it slightly different though, as I'm using one input to record, the other to monitor. As the M2 has no dedicated mixing utility, the input gain also controls the monitoring level (pretty stupid, really...), but I work around that by "wasting" one input just for monitoring purposes, hence being able to use the input gain pot as a monitor volume control.

  2. Amp control depends on the amp. HXS/HXSXL both transmit MIDI PC, CC (single and toggle) and NOTE. You may run into difficulty depending upon what you need to transmit and when. A FS can only send a single MIDI message. A Snapshot can send more than one, but if for instance, you need to TOGGLE CCs, you'd need TWO Snapshots for that, and since you have only 3 (HXS) or 4 (HXSXL) that could limit your options. Also, HXS/HXSXL do not have simple amp control (channel switching). So, unless your amp uses MIDI for that, that would also limit your options unless you get a MIDI switching device like the VooDoo Labs Control.

  3. If you only get the complaint sporadically, and assuming there's no intermittent hardware malfunction, I'm inclined to think that it's just the occasional sound guy who either doesn't know what he's doing and/or has lost his marbles...they're out there. I've met them, lol ;). Don't see how the output can be fine one day and pinning the needle the next...

  4. I tried to make a reset, holding fottswitches 9+10 on boot... but the Helix freezed while resetting! Not resolved. Now I'll try to put the device in Update Mode. Anyway, I just opened a support ticket. But... sincerely I think it is unacceptable that a device like the Helix LT (about € 1.100 in Italy) had problems like this!

  5. Been hearing these rumors since the beginning of JTV's. If or when that happens, there will be official word on that. In the meantime, just rumors,... rainbows and unicorns.

  6. You know, Apple didn't sell me the music gear. And if we could go backwards in system updates, I bet most of us would. I certainly would. These little invisible system "improvements" break our gear. In the meantime, we've been legacy-ed to death. Funny, my Korg A3 (from the early 90s) still works fine... At all events GRRRR! I didn't rent this gear, I bought it!

  7. I understand that products do get old at some point Telling a customer that has spent nearly a $1000 on Pod X3 Pro & Floorboard II that theres no way to edit a patch on their pc/mac is like pissing on your paying customers It doesn't cost much to recompile a code base (I am a programmer) especially when the code in question makes use of open source libraries PNGLib. ZLib. etc etc (GearBox About.....) . Open source the editor so people can maintain it. Or just document the api calls so people can get/set data to/from a pod unit. Or make their editor modular with plugins to support old & upcoming units I had considered looking at the Helix but after 2 bad experiences in a row with Line 6, I would not consider buying their products. Its ironic that I get more support from Digitech on a used 2120 unit that I bought back in 2004 ...now thats customer service... ...and I'm not even a professional musician....just an average guy who like to play guitar once in a while..
