  1. Mine probably was really bad. Sadly, replacing the pots killed the 1/4 jack.
  2. I tried this with my 600 and it made it worse, hence why I replaced the pots on the guitar.
  3. Yeah, it keeps a backup and uses that as a reference when you plug in a variax to save time.
  4. Yeah, about every 2 seconds, the model knob flashes white really quickly. I have a 69.
  5. I just noticed the model knob flashes every few seconds when the volume is rolled down and it enters sleep mode. I assume this is normal?
  6. It's all good, just a mistake, but it would be misinforming. I'm not saying it's possible that it can cause a short circuit, or that the OP of this thread could of had a short circuit, but for data purposes, it's not the case of that other thread.
  7. You can use Parallel Pitch to finetune the tuning of your guitar. The problem with this is that you can't turn it off on the patch, unlike the alt tunings on the alt tuning knob, so you have to use a slot on one of your custom banks. Enable Parallel Pitch, set all Pitch's to 0, put al Mix to 100%, then adjust Cents to desired fine tuning for all strings.
  8. Ok, I think I'm going to pass on this firmware update for sure then.
  9. That's a very misleading post. The OP did not confirm that it was broken strings causing short circuits, the post you're referring to was a reply that SUGGESTED to check if that was the problem.
  10. It will as long as you don't tug on it like a crazy monkey trying to intentionally take it off.
  11. I downloaded it, but I'm questioning whether to install it or not. I do not have a system with a more modern windows in this house.
  12. Their technology is innovative and inspiring. I love the POD HD and Variax guitars.
  13. Well I've found the problem. It's not supported on Windows XP.
  14. Flash firmware doesn't even show up on the line6 software page. You sure this isn't a long april fools joke?
  15. I agree. Kind of pointless to sign up just to say you're done with the products, but again, this guy could be helped, and thankfully Tony did, though we don't know if this guy will even view or post these forums again. It's just it kinda sounds like people are making light of someone having busted gear, and that's not cool. Yes it's just gear, but it's also a THOUSAND dollar guitar. I would never, want to waste 1k on something new that was going to break after a short while.
  16. You realize that the people who are going to come to these boards are people with problems because it's a SUPPORT forum? It's not really a discussion forum, but it can be.
  17. So a NPF can just be Line 6 being lazy and not being able to even find the problem theirselves? I was hoping they'd only do that when they concluded that there is no problem with the guitar at all, but if they're listening to a guitar with pickups not working and saying "Oh this guitar is normal" then wtf?
  18. Did the new firmware come with the Workbench update or is that a separate monkey update? Monkey updated for Workbench HD, not the guitar. I can try to reinstall monkey.
  19. All I have to say is don't try to fix something you can have trouble with so you don't end up having to spend more money to fix more stuff on the guitar.
  20. Yeah guys, please don't crap on a guy just because they're might be some legit frustration with their product. I'd be upset too if I had a guitar that is broken and had no way of fixing it.
