  1. Mine is a AKG K44 Perception (32 Ohm). To me it sounds ok connected to POD HD500X. What difference will I hear if I get a High Impedance Headphone?
  2. There is a company from Germany called Stomplabels, soon they will be releasing this very cool labels for the HD500X:
  3. Edit doesn't work. I am using Google Chrome, I haven't tried another browser yet.
  4. That happened to me twice. To "solve it" (probably it will happen again), unplug the power cable, press and hold the directional left button, plug the power back while still pressing the left button. Release the button when the Line6 logo goes out and the view of signal effects chain appears. After that, you will need to set the outputs and calibrate the expression pedal again.
  5. Hellocases + 2 pair of Pedalups!
  6. I think I solved it, changed the output to Direct/Studio instead of Combo Front and the sounds is coming out properly now! Probably to use the Combo Front setting it may be necessery to ajust Highs and Lows to get it right. I wont delete this post since it may be useful for someone else.
  7. Thanks everyone! Cool forum here, very active. I just posted two new topics... I got to tell you this pod hd500x is giving me a hard time... glad I have this place to get things working.
  8. When using a pod HD500X into a guitar combo amp, I should set the 1/4 Out switch to "amp" right? I did it, but when I set it to "line" I got more volume and it sounds better overall, is that normal? Here is a recording I did to show the difference: https://soundcloud.com/bluesoverdrive/guitar-podhd500x-amp-and-line?in=bluesoverdrive/sets/hd500-test
  9. Hi there! So, Today I tried to set up the HD500X to work with a combo amp. There is a problem I find: Even when the POD HD500X is set to a New Sound (No amp and no effects emulation) it does not send my original clean sound to the amp. If I connect my guitar straight to the amp, it sounds great. If I put the POD in the middle with no effects and no amp, it kills the tone, sound like a blanket over the amp speaker. Here a sample sound I just recorded to take a listen: https://soundcloud.com/bluesoverdrive/guitar-podhd500x-combofront?in=bluesoverdrive/sets/hd500-test Why is it happening? What if I just want to use the effects like a Line6 M13 would between the guitar and amp signal? Any ideas?
  10. DeanDinosaur, you may be right, today I got able to dial better tones and even the overdrive and distortion sounded a lot better to me than yesterday, weird. Tomorrow I will try also running the output to a 2.1 polk speaker I have and check out how it sounds. Took note on the headphones advice too. I used to use the same headphone AKG K44 with my Blackstar HT-1R and it sounded so good right away, that's one reason why I am findind the POD strange. Thank you, you were very helpful. Tboneus, thanks for your tips, I recorded new sounds that I made up with the HD500X, I think this ones I got some good tones, I tried to play better to show the tones I created, I know it is still out of time and I kinda suck playing, but is better this time I promise :) Check it out: Radiohead Clean Fender + drivepedal tones Smashing Pumpkins Zero (bigmuff + marshal) Smashing Pumpkins Galapogos (not really close) Green Day Dookie Inspired Joel_Brown, I did it and it does sound better, the bridge pickup stopped to overdrive the amp but there is some tone sucking goind on, I got better results setting it to 90k. Thanks for your help!
  11. Hi there! My first post here! I been playing with my new HD500X but it is giving me such a hard time to get a good amp overdriven sound. Before you help me listening to the sounds I recorded, let me say that I am using headphones, Output is set to "direct", amps + cabinet simulation are on. POD is updated Flash 1.30 When using a Fender amp (Twin or Dlx) on my humbucker bridge pickup I am getting this sound: https://soundcloud.com/bluesoverdrive/pod-hd500x-really-bad-fender?in=bluesoverdrive/sets/hd500x (first bridge pickup clean ---> Tube Overdrive --> Neck+Bridge clean) I find it to be really bad, the amp when starts to overdrive sound more like fret buzzing. Then I turn on the "Tube Overdrive" pedal, everything still sound so thin and buzzy. Only at the end of the recording you can hear a good tone when I add the Neck pickup. Do you find this sound to be the normal sound of a Fender Deluxe or Twin when starting to break up? Is my pod damaged? Here's the sound of a JCM800, I thinks it is kinda too "buzzy"(when it should be crunchy), please tell me what do you think: https://soundcloud.com/bluesoverdrive/pod-hd500x-marshall-jcm800-1 (Bridge Humbucker pickup) Does you pod sound like this too?
