  1. I have the same problem with the flashing lights. There is no obvious way to take it apart and have a look or to reset.
  2. Glenn is a complete gentleman. Supports his work and really loves what he does. Like most of us, I have a day job and not enough time to learn and fiddle with all the amazing Helix features. He provides a solid uniform array of patches and I can fine tune from there. I am a return customer many times from the POD HD line and will keep coming back. Looking forward to the Artist Series 2. Thanks Glenn!
  3. I was able to correct by (again) reloading all drivers, firmware, detaching all cables to POD, turning off PC firewall, rebooting PC and POD, different port, flashing from down loaded file. I have been trying and retry in various combinations including using another computer with different Windows OS. In the end the thing that seemed to do it was the last time I reloaded drivers and firmware. Thanks for all those that jumped in on this thread and good luck to others having a similar problem.

  5. Thanks for suggestions but nothing seems to work - new drivers, another port, different PC, restarted POS HD500X holding down arrow then retired the firmware update. All comes back with Code 80007211 Firmware update timed out waiting for response from devise
  6. I have same problem. I tried different ports, different PC, new drivers everything and still gives me a CODE 80007211 Firmware update timed out waiting for response from POD HD500X. I am at 2.6 and want to go to 2.62. Did your open ticket help?
  7. I had the same problem. What I did was to take a large plastic bottle cap top and velcro'ed it over the looper so I would not hit it by mistake. That way I could remove it if I wanted to practice something with the looper but protect against accidentally turning on which I had done way too many times. Completely agree best option is a setting so you can turn it on/off when needed.
  8. I loaded all the current drivers, USB firmware and flash memory 2.60 on Saturday. All works fine. On Sunday I tried to load Flash memory 2.61 and get error message 80007211 Firmware Update timed out waiting for this device. I have restarted everything multiple times, reloaded all drivers, firmware and the same thing keeps happening. I tied loading directly and via saved file on Monkey (version 1.07Any ideas? Version on POD HD500X: Drivers 4.2.7.1 USB Firmware 1.04 Flash Memory 2.60
  9. I also bought the new cable from Sweetwater and 100% improvement over the original VDI cable. It is close to a real guitar cable and not always getting in the way. Thank your dog for me!
  10. Thank you GTRMAN100. I just set the Input 1 to Variax and Input 2 to Mic (which I am not using). It did bring Mags down a bit which helps although they are still loauder than the models. I am trying to adjust some more via Workbench HD and by lowering the physical level of the pickups. I still think this is a weird issue and I have seen other posts with the same problem.
  11. The volume balance between Mag and the Models are well balanced when going from the JTV-59 into the Guitar In on the POD-500 using a standard 1/4" cable. When I run with the with the VDI to the Variax input with the same settings the Mags are much louder that the models to the point I basically can not use the models. The Mags sound to loud and the models muted and bland. I have latest drivers/flashware on all the JTV and POD500. I have adjusted volumes using Workbench HD connected directly to the computed and 1/4 to amp and again balance between Mag and Models fine. It appears only when I use the VDI to Variax input do a get this problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
