That does indeed seem cumbersome.... gonna have to play with that.

In stompbox mode this would be easy, in preset mode you are either gonna need an extra expression pedal or your volume will be active with the wah or the whammy, which would just not work well at all.

Not assigned to an input, just on so my Ipad or keyboards can play through them. Didn't see anything in Global that would allow this, would be nice not to have to assign 2 extra inputs on every single patch just to be able to do this.

At home I use M-audio monitors and at band practice I use peavey pa speakers, sounds great in both!

Yes you can send Magnetics and Variax signals at the same time, it's awesome.

It powers it with the Variax cable of course. I use it with the JTV59 and it is freekin awesome!

M-Audio studio monitors (don't remeber the model) and Audio Technica flat response studio headphones when fam is sleeping. The other guitarist in the band has a Firehawk and we run our sound through 2 Peavey speakers in practice and on stage. For stereo imaging and so we can hear each other.

After a rocky start with not being able to save patches, black screen and freezing (a second computer also with Windows 10 for some reason worked so I can save now).... I have finally been able to really mess with this thing, in about a week I was able to make a set and a half worth of sounds (I have a full time job and weekend mornings are usually tinged with hangoverish sluggishness) and took it to band practice last night. It sounded fantastic! It's hard to know when you are making sounds how they will blend with the rest of the band and out of 20 some songs I think I had to tweek 5 presets and mostly just slight volume adjustments. The responsiveness of the amp and cab models are the most noticeable difference and it just FELT great to crank up this thing and play with the rest of the guys. We play cover songs from STP, Alice In Chains, NIN, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, mostly 90s and later rock and this thing sounded amazing! I figured I should put something positive on here since I spent so much time whining before. :P Rock on.

It sounds good as an audio interface, unfortunately I find it cumbersome using it with my synths and other gear so I just use my regular outboard usb mixer/interface and plug this into that.

I had it happen before 2nd firmware update, no problems of any kind since then.

On patches where I don't need the volume pedal for anything else I assign it to either gain or channel or master volume and give it a +1 or more boost, also use it to add just a bit of delay and/or chorus (preset to taste then assign mix from either/both to pedal) to give the solo more depth, easy way to blend in and out of solo mode

That is weird and annoying, I'm assuming you have the latest firmware updates so apart from that I have no idea. I have several 2 amp combos and none of them have done that. Good luck

Have another computer with Windows 10 on it, installed Windows 7 version of Helix bundle on that and it worked. I can now save my presets and stop whining.... about this.

I tried running it as admin and it had no effect. Still non functional. I will not waste any more time creating patches til that is fixed.

I did, didn't save my presets of course and the app still doesn't work. I suppose I'll just unplug it and let it sit there til the app works so I don't get on here and whine.

Hehehe! I edited it to something that will work. :D It is frustrating, I spent a lot of time TWICE tweaking sounds, my sets are very effect heavy and re doing all the controllers and etc.... ugh.

Had it less than a week and I'm about to lose all my presets AGAIN. The Helix app doesn't work so I can't back them up. Did the first update and lost my presets now I turn it on and this happens Screen is blank, can't manipulate or get to anything. This thing sounds great and I love the potential but if you can't use it.... there is no point. Running out of patience with this, far too expensive to be this buggy out of the gate.

Updated firmware and re installed Helix application ..... same result

Desktop computer. Quad core. Windows 10. Drivers work. Unit works as a sound card. Helix gets "stopped working" message every time before it even loads.

The Roland Jazz amp+cab has a pretty flat response, I start with Bass Mid and Treble at 5 and adjust to taste.
