Best method of setting patches levels to the same volume??
Gawwuf replied to JLEpperson's topic in Helix
Here is what I do... When playing with the band I make note of or adjust a clean sound til it's perfect, then distorted rhythm sound, then clean lead and then a dirty lead. I will then play these later thru a meter and mark the peaks for each category. When I make a new sound I will use the peaks in each category marked above as a starting point for each sound, they won't always be perfect but at least they are usually close. -
Make sure you have the latest Helix app of course. I had that problem a while ago and one thing I did then was to rename all empty presets to BLANK. It seems like Helix ignored them and wrote my presets on top of them shifting all my other preset names Does that make sense? I haven't had a problem since I started doing that, but I also had hoped they would have that fixed by now.

I have that same pedal and know of the effect you speak, the only thing that will come close as of now are the Mutant Filter, Mystery Filter and the new Autowah thingy, I haven't played with the Autowah yet, the other filters won't do the exact same thing but if you play with them enough it should be close.

You need to play with mic/speaker combos to get the best sound out of the amp sims. As far as DSP, you need to read up on it some more, I have presets with multiple amps several stereo delays, multiple effects and still have room for more.

This keeps coming up, I have suggested in ideascale they make a setting in global settings to allow any set of returns to be set to ON so you can plug anything in there to play along with... any phone, mp3 player whatever with 1/4 jacks or an adaptor to such. http://line6.ideasca...ty/800263-23508

I really hope they get the wireless neural interface done properly.... otherwise it could really be a headache.

My wishlist for Helix IV v.2 is getting pretty long

Just used my headphone jack to practice last night, was running songs through my computer via usb and had no lag in guitar sounds or mp3s being played. I am assuming you have done all updates with the FW so other than being hooked up to a DAW that is adding some lag I don't know what is going on with your unit, hope you figure it out soon.

Never found a suggestion in ideascale for the Global Setting Aux In Always On..... so I created one. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Global-Aux-Setting-for-Always-On-input-capability/800263-23508

I didn't find this idea in ideascale so I created one. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Global-Aux-Setting-for-Always-On-input-capability/800263-23508

Had several issues with presets not saving or loading properly and also had the expression toe sound cut out problem as well. I have had NO problems since the latest FW update!
-
Not yet, I believe someone has posted this in ideascale however.
-
All presets sound fine here after update.
-
So has this update really fixed this? Anyone still having the problem?
-
And as always make sure you have latest Helix app and FW.... good luck

Check the other patches, I've had it do this where all the patches are there but moved to "New Preset" locations and then had to move and rename all of them, it's a pain but the sounds were still there. To stop this from happening I now have created a blank Patch and named it BLANK and copy it to any "New Preset" slots between my regular sounds... haven't had a problem since I started doing this, happened 3 times before and it is a HUGE time sucker.

They should put a setting in Global Inputs to have select FX returns always ON so we don't have to add it to every single patch.
-
ugh.... now I'm even more scared to take this thing out live, I haven't had any problems since last update though
-
Is that part of the toe switch problem that's been posted a couple times or is yours unrelated?
-
Are you planning on sewing Helix? I am so funny it hurts.
-
Yes, haven't been to band practice since I updated to latest version but no problems at home though.
-
I do not use IR's..... yet
-
Mine happened in several different patches, not all had wah attached to the toe switch though, one had boost and volume, one had whammy pedal.

I have had this happen several times. Never at home in my music room but at the band practice house one night it did it 3 times, another night 5 times!!! Made me really leery about taking this thing on stage. I play this thing for hours on end at home and just a couple hour jaunts at practice and the only difference was that in order to protect new carpets we all put towels under our respective effect pedals, since this was the only difference in my set up I took my towel off and it never did it again..... I see you are towelless in your video so I have no idea what causes this.
