    Warning about the Amplifi series

Let's face the facts... Amplifi line has always been UNSTABLE JUNK and another total rip off by Line 6. They have made millions from us and never once tried to re-write the firmware so the Amplifi line could be usable. They just abandoned it and all of us!

New version of remote app - happy again.

Mwaiting.... Which Ipad do you have? I am using an iPad 2 and it still disconnects frequently. And forget about even trying to multitask.
  3. Same problem here with my iPad 2. Even though I really like the new IOS interface, once again I have gone back to the Android App on my Samsung Tab S. From day one it's been a much more stable connection. I really hope Line 6 updates the Android App with the same user interface as IOS. Since I can not use ForScore App and Amplifi App at the same time on my iPad 2, I will continue to use both tablets one for each app.

It is what it is. What do you think!

"I think AMLPIFi/Firehawk owners should do the same: use your Bluetooth connection in advance, without the time pressures of a gig, to prepare your device with all anticipated required tones organized appropriately...." Silverhead, This is exellent advice for all users. If you store the desired tones in Amplifi prior to a gig, Bluetooth disconnects will not be an issue. Mark... If I am correct, with the current firmware, the FBV Express II will only control tones stored in banks 1 - 4. You need a FBV SHORTBOARD MKII to control the tones stored in all banks.
  5. It is what it is. Amplifi 150 or 75 is an excellent device for playback of MP3's to play along with your guitar for practice or NON professional entertainment. The Bluetooth connectivity problem that has existed since day 1 of Amplifi will more than likely NEVER BE FIXED. Not because of Line 6 but because of the unstable nature of Bluetooth. I only playback music on the Amplifi through a wired connection to Aux input from my Ipad. I also use my Android tablet to control the Amplifi and use nothing else on the tablet. Yes I use two devices.. one for sheet music and MP3 playback and another to contol the Amplifi. If you attempt multitasking on any device controlling the Amplifi...IT WILL ALWAYS disconnect. You can not use any other app on your IOS or Android device if you are using the Amplifi App to control the Amplifi. Multitasking DOES NOT WORK with the Amplifi app. IT IS WHAT IT IS AND NOTHING MORE. A great sounding amp for practice not intended for professional use.

amplifi 150 data connection continuing issues

Because neither the Amplifi IOS or Android app is capable of multitasking with any other app this is a chronic problem. In addition to making sure all other apps are off, one thing I found that also helps is to turn off ALL notifications on your phone or tablet and set them to DO NOT DISTURB. This will not solve this problem but will help with the frequency of communication disconnects. It would be nice if Line 6 would update the app and/or firmware to fix this known problem but it's lack of any activity with the Amplifi line makes me think that's it... no more updates.

    Amplifi Remote App Crashes

It have been almost 3 months since my last post about app crashes. Unfortunately it does NOT surprise me that Line 6 has not responded nor addressed this well known issue. To review, it is impossible to use two apps on an iPad at the same time without the Amplifi App crashing. I use ForScore which never crashes with other apps open. Some times as many as 3 or 4 other apps. Try to do that with the Amplifi App and it crashes 100% of the time no matter what other app you may try to use. From the lack of any recent activity with regards to Amplifi, it certainly appears that Line 6 is finished with this product.

AMPLIFi 75 constantly loses data connection

I use both iOS and Android versions of the Amplifi app. If you attempt to do any multi tasking (leave the Amplifi App enter a different app then return to Amplifi app) the connection is always lost. This is a bug that needs attention in both iOS and Android apps. I expect Line 6 will eventually address this although multitasking on ANY tablet has always caused other issues.

Issue reading sd card on Tablet.

On your Samsung Tablet go to settings connections bluetooth In bluetooh settings, find Amplifi and select settings Make sure USE FOR MEDIA AUDIO is checked. It does not matter if the music files are on the tablets memory or an SD card. On my Galaxy Tab S all my MP3's are on the SD card.

Amplifi 150 USB recording = No dice

I DO NOT know the MAC OS but I would think it would require a specific driver as in Windows. After I completed the Amplifi 2.1 firmware update I was not able to see the Amplifi in any of my recording software on a Windows 8 PC. After searching here, I was reminded about the Windows driver. After I downloaded and installed the Windows driver 1.64 the Amplifi was seen by my Windows 8 PC and Propellerhead and Adobe Soundbooth software. I also must add that the recordings made were far superior than the ones I have done on my Spider Jam. Now if Line 6 could fix the bugs and design of BOTH the IOS and Android apps the Amplifi would be great instead of just OK!

Amplifi 150 USB recording = No dice

If you are using windows, you must install the latest Line 6 driver or else none of your PC sound hardware or software will see Amplifi. Get the version 1.64 windows driver here. http://line6.com/software/index.html

    Amplifi App User Guide

Just got my Amplifi 150 and still in a learning mode. Where is the user guide for the Amplifi App? Is there one or are these forums it? Thanks in advance, Carl

    Amplifi Remote App Crashes

I to have a Bluetooth disconnect and app crash issue I would like to share with Line 6. I am using a 2nd generation iPad. My new Amplifi 150 is upgraded to Firmware 2.0 and Amplifi App version 2.0. If I use the Amplifi App with NO other apps open, I have no problem with staying connected to the Amplifi 150 and the app works perfect. After setting my desired tone in the Amplifi App, If I have the ForScore App open and use it for music and sheet music playback, when I return to the Amplifi App, it crashes and closes. Please note the Amplifi App works perfect and the tone stays set until I return to the Amplifi App. I have to restart the Amplifi App every time. Can this annoying bug be fixed? Thank you. Carl.
