    Helix Bug Reports

Just an update, Problem is solved now. I reinstalled a few times the HX Stomp firmware to no avail, as I did not realize that it was actually the HX edit software that contained the drivers meant for Windows. Instead of only putting Bug Fixes and Known Issues on their download page for each software, line 6 should also put an overview of WHAT IT IS in the first place. It was misleading for me as they is no mention of drivers on the HX Edit installer, until you actually run the installer.
  2. Thank you! I assumed the HX-Edit software was strictly meant for editing presets on your Helix pedal, did not realize it contained the drivers for windows as well. I reinstalled the firmware 3 times to no avail, but reinstalling "HX Edit" did the trick. Helix Bug Reports

I have reinstalled the HX stomp 2.81 drivers and reboot my computer, problem did not go away. I am a bit puzzled as to how the line 6 helix drivers work. From what it looks like the updates are meant for the Helix unit itself, and not for the computer. My issue now is currently that the 'HX Stomp Asio' does not appear under the list of of audio devices in both my DAWs. Would like to add that the HX stomp does appear on the windows control panel settings and I am able to use the HX stomp there but only for windows audio playback, not the DAW. The only workaround I have is via Asio4all v2 where I am able to select the HX stomp within the DAW, but is this recommended? Does anyone have the same issue after the major windows 10 update? Please issue a fix asap!

  5. My DAWs (Reaper and Cakewalk) wont recognize HX stomp as an interface after big windows update about 3 days ago. I've already updated to v2.81 when it came out. I am doing recording next week and in need of a quick fix! I have to use the digital USB ins and outs in order to record DI signals as my interface only has 1 input.

    Helix Bug Reports

DAW does not recognize my HX stomp as an audio interface after the big windows update recently (about 3 days ago) Please fix quickly! I need to be doing recording with it soon!
  7. Thank you for the overwhelming number of replies! I am using windows indeed. Many of you are asking why I am 'insisting' on USB recording. My reason is that I require all 3 outputs from the HX Stomp, main output, send output, and DI signal output. Using just one USB cable is a very elegant solution . I am also going to be using it for re-amping purposes, so I also need USB input as well. Furthermore, I only have one line input on my Audient iD4, so it is impossible to record those 3 output tracks simultaneously. I guess I have no choice but to use the HX stomp as my recording interface then.
  8. Hi guys, I am wondering if it is possible to configure the HX stomp only as a digital input into my DAW instead of having to use the entire HX stomp itself as an interface? Reason is I do not wish to be plugging my monitors in and out of the HX stomp every time i need to head out. I already have a dedicated audio interface (Audient id4), so I dont see why I need to be forced to use the HX stomp as an interface. Currently using reaper as my DAW. Ideal scenario: - HX Stomp USB inputs into DAW - HX Stomp 1/4 outs into DAW for direct monitoring - DAW playback output via Audient id4 into monitor speakers Feedback would be very much appreciated!

    Pod Hd Looper Tone (hd400)

Hello everyone! I've noticed that whenever I am using the looper function, the sound that comes out actually sounds significantly clearer and punchier compared to playing real time! It also sounds much more natural and responsive, and having tube-like qualities, which I couldn't achieve with playing real time. Now this isn't exactly a huge problem, but it would be great if I could actually achieve the same looper tone as I could in playing real time. Any solutions to how as to address this issue? The looper tone is what i really crave for and I am only able to get it through looping now! How close am I! I suspect it might be the order my looper is in the FX chain. Any responses will be appreciated :)
