  1. Ok thanks, was thinking if I buy the FBV3 it might future proof me for a while? Instead of buying the Express and wishing I'd bought the FB3. Decisions decisions. ..
  2. Sorry that's what I meant, is it not a step up from the shortboard mkii?
  3. Hi I've only recently just bought an Amplifi 75 and loving it so far. I'm still learning guitar, had a break for 20 odd years. Come to the stage now tho where I need to switch from a clean tone to a distortion tone etc etc when learning certain songs. Would a FBV shortboard mk 2/3 be overkill? As I won't be gigging anytime soon. Or would the simple straight forward Express pedal be better? Just switching between the 4 user presets. I really can't get my head around how I would use the Shortboard controller with all the 100 presets available with the Amplifi? If anyone is using the shortboard with said Amp or similar could give me any examples how I'd use it?

Can the 100 Line 6 preset tones be over wrote?
  6. I agree, the tone matching is terrible, bit I've found 1 or 2 that's very close for the songs I'm learning. But I'm having intermittent connection issues too. Only had it a few days so don't know if will settle down, so to speak?

Probably like you save a file on a computer, can't save the same name?
  8. Just bought a Amplifi 75 and will buy a Mkii shortboard in the coming months. Can I set my own tones to different banks in the preset banks( Over write ) that Line 6 provide. Or can I only use the User Bank A B C D?

Didn't get no black screen. This was the procedure I followed on my Macbook Pro. 1.Downloaded the Line 6 updater to my Mac. 2.Connected to the Amplifi via USB from the Mac.Put Amp in update mode. 3.Opened the Line 6 Updater Application on my Mac. 4.Signed into Line 6 account, followed the instructions. 5.This then presented me with a picture of the device to update. 6.Then factory reset. Updated, took about 10mins,job done. Had a good play last night, connection dropped out a lot and had to reboot both App and device several times. Hope this isn't going to become the norm, or it's going back. It is a great amp apart from the connectivity issues STILL, that's already been well documented.

Well got my Amp,updated via Apple Mac book, no trouble whatsoever phew! Not had much of a mess yet, but some of the tones suck to be honest, got some good ones too tho. Will report back when I've had a few weeks with it.

Hoping it would of been sorted by now? Got a few family members with Ipads, if worse comes to the worse.
  14. Heard great things about this Amp and not so good things, but I've ordered one anyway so I guess I'll find out if it's for me or not? Hoping the update process will be a smooth one? Sounds like a nightmare,I'm hoping to update it with my Apple Mac book by downloading the updater then flashing it with the USB cable. I don't own any thing else Apple so no updating through Iphone/Ipad etc. Is there anything else I need to do or prepare for? Thanks.
  15. Will look forward to your review, I'm going to be ordering a 75 tomorrow, the 30 had me intrigued.
