Well that's good to hear about you not having any issues with the G10 and Variax battery. Hopefully my next battery will last longer.

Well I only decided to start using the piezos again and get my monies worth. Only to find the problem with the battery. Yeah the acoustics sound great on the Amplifi. Going to buy a Firehawk Fx and a pair of monitor speakers next year. So I get the Variax integration.

I remember when I joined these forums when I purchased my Amplifi, kept on seeing the Variax being mentioned across the forums and didn't have a clue what it was? It was only by accident I stumbled across a thread and realised what they were and was then intrigued. Month later I had one, starting to like it a lot more now, even tho I've not used the modelling side much.

All sorted now, replacement battery on it's way. Think my guitar was about 3 years old when I received it as NEW.

It was working fine for a month or so.

" Batteries suck " but should still.last more than a hour when fairly new.

It's draining with in an hour of using it whilst plugged in. I always remove the Relay after, but it doesn't matter because its already drained by then.

Not had my Variax JTV69S long, just lately when only playing for a hour or so the battery is dead. I'm wondering if maybe my Relay G10 might be the issue, any one else have one having any issues. Next step I'm going to try a lead instead of the G10. But surely I shouldn't have to do this?

I have the Mkii shortboard for changing between the 4 user patches. I don't think there's any other way to edit the tones apart from phone/tablet.

Never get any discounts from Line 6 here in the UK. Pretty poor show.

I've been thinking about buying a Firehawk Fx to marry up with my Variax guitar I've had a month or so, I'm using an Amplifi 75 atm, and it's been great for my limited abilities. But I can't help thinking I should hold out and put the money towards a Helix? Yes it's a very lot of money to me, and I'm really only just past beginner level ( I think?) So I don't know if it would be completely wasted on me? But then again I'm thinking if I've got the best gear, I know I can't blame my playing on anything else and have any excuses.

Thanks for the review, I've really been thinking of buying one to marry up my Variax JTV69S to it, I already own the Amplifi which I'm quite happy with atm. But keep getting a niggling in my head that I'd be best to put the money towards a Helix. But then I get put off with the Helix costing 4 times as much.

Brilliant, thanks Soundog,I've not got a Helix atm, I'm only really a beginner, well maybe past the beginner stage but not great. I'll reward myself with a Helix if I ever get worthy of one. Using an Amplifi atm which is great for my abilities. I uploaded someone else's Variax bundle which was a normalized bundle. ( think I did right ) just thought I'd try someone else's who play live. Thanks again.

I'm also interested in these settings, I'm new to Workbench.Do you have to assign them to a specific spot. Or can I just upload them and they overwrite the previous settings? TIA

Now you can get the playstore on chromebooks etc, just wondered if it would work with the app running on it?

You can swap/overwrite any of the factory presets. Just make sure you save any of the factory presets you like to "my tones" first. That way you can re call them or save back to the hardware. Or you can always do a factory reset to get them back, but you will loose the user bank tones if you've saved any there. Or again save your tones to the cloud " my tones again "and then you've always got them.

I'm thinking of buying a FH to replace my Amplifi due to recently buying a JTV69S for the Variax integration. Just wondering if I can play music from my laptop through it whilst playing along to the music too, but not streaming. I find the bluetooth connectivity very patchy when playing through my Amplifi. Sometimes it's ok, but most time it freezers and stutters, these are music video lessons I've saved to my phone, so they are on my phone and not streaming from You Tube etc. Just want to play songs hard wired to the FH, is this possible? TIA.

Just unpair then repair, that usually does the trick.

Thanks psarkissian It's a very long way to go from me to the line 6 service centre you mentioned. I'll have to see if someone local can do it? Maybe it's already set up to Line 6 spec? And I just don't like it. If it's not, why are they sent out not set up already? I've only been using 9s recently, but the 10s on the JTV seem really stiff and hurt my fingers big time.
