This will probably sound silly, I'm a complete noobie to the Helix, but why do you have to get the white text up in brackets per snapshot? Think I've been just turning the nob without pushing it too, then saving per patch.

I've only had my LT a week or so, I'm only a novice at this kind of thing, I have a few Variax patches, and it's froze numerous times. Not good.

How much sound wise are you finding the FH to the Helix you had,Is it a big step down? I keep gassing for a Helix/LT coming from owning a Firehawk,just the amount of money gives me the shivers.

No unfortunately,but I've now reflashed the fw again, and it seems to be alot better. Or my ears are playing tricks on me. I'll see how it sounds tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

Everytime I switch to the models they sound muddy compared to the mags. I've played around with the pots and pups positions in Workbench, they then sound better till I unplug the interface cable and plug the VDI cable back in, then they go muddy again. I'm uploading to the Variax when I've made changes and I can see the valves have changed. But just have the same muddy sound when I unplug everything again. Any Ideas? TIA

That's bad news then, I've got the Firehawk FX, so I suppose it's the same for that then? I like having it all integrated with the FH. Might have to give it a miss then. Thanks for your help.

How do you roll back to 1.9 fw? My Models always sound muddy, so really only use the mags.

I've now got a Firehawk Fx, but will keep the Amplifi in another room to play on. Yes it as it's anoyances, but overall I'm still happy with it.

Does that mean we might get an update at some point?

That's one expensive amp just to play music through tho.

I've just recently bought a cheap pair of earbuds, and was wondering if they would work with the Amplifi. I know I'll probably have to buy a BT transmitter to plug into the Headphone plug on the back of the device. Would like to know if it would work? TIA

You have to assign the 4 tones you want into the User slots using the remote app. And yes you can only select 1 bank of 4 at anyone time. You can swap the tones in and out as you like, but only cycle through the 1 bank of 4 using the controller. I have the exact same set up, I find I only usually about it 3-4 tones most of the time anyway, anymore I need I use the Remote app. I'm also going to be buying a Firehawk Fx very soon,so I'll be able to access all the banks as well as use my Variax guitar to it's full potential.

Only had my Variax about 4 months and the battery as stopped charging,replacement being sent out. Like yours it just flashes red every second or so, when it was charging and working, I'm sure the red light just use to stay on when it was fully charged.

Yeah I know, when I first got the guitar I didn't have to charge the battery for ages.
