  1. My Firehawk Fx stopped working. Nothing is displayed on the interface. A red light shines at the "A" button. Nothing so far has worked: Factory reset, connecting it through the USB and trying to update it.
  2. Dear folks at Line 6, please update the Firehawk FX in 2019! suggestions: - improve switching, it’s lagging quite a bit sometimes... - add new effects and amps like you do with the Helix products; I’d like to see POG and HOG effects and some new boutique pedals and amps - improvements for the looper, increase of recording time would be nice to make it useful and also being able to eliminate a recording without starting playback for 2 seconds, this makes the looper useless in live situation. - overall bug fixes to add more stability to the system. I love this product and I know it can do so much more if Line 6 puts some effort in updates.... not everyone wants to buy a Helix..... i know im not alone here, just hope someone at Line 6 takes proper action! thank you for your time and I’ll be waiting for feedback!
  3. Good morning everyone, I bought a line6 firehawk fx on ebay on 1/12/2017, I'm from Brazil, and I only received on 12/23/2018, and the warranty is over. When connecting it was already in version 1.30 and the error: load error = -42. I have done all the procedures via USB to reinstall other versions from 1.01 to 1.20 and have the same error, A B C D flash. Can someone help me?
  4. I have a Variax Standard, for which I just purchased a Firehawk FX but i don't have it yet (not a guitar player, I just enjoy goofing with it). However, I am a bassist and I was wondering if I could use the Firehawk with my Variax 700 bass. Most importantly, will it allow me do alt tunings!?!?? I suspect all the answers to my questions will be 'no' since there seems to be very little love for bassists, but a guy can dream....
  5. I have a Firehawk FX and was just given a Cry Baby wah. Can not figure how to hook it up to get it to work. Tried direct instrument input on wah pedal to guitar and them amp out on pedal to guitar in. I get volume but as soon as I click on the pedal to get wah engaged no volume. Even reversed the cables in case the was was mislabeled but received the same thing. Any ideas? If you have used a external wah pedal please help and advise exactly how you hooked yours up. Thank you
  6. Does anybody know if you can use the FIREHAWK FX as a foot controller for the FIREHAWK 1500? I really don't want to drop an additional $250 for a foot switch when I just dropped $400 on the FX and am considering getting the 1500. In transparency, I'm hoping to use the 1500 just for amp models (not the stomps) and plug my regular pedalboard into the front of it but I want to be able to change amp models/channels on the fly. I really wasn't big on using the 4 cable method w th firehawk and a traditional amp. Too many cables and hassle. THANKS
  7. Got a new problem and I'm wondering if anyone else has this happening? My delay and chorus mix level is changing all on its own, it'll jump from my setting of between 27% - 33% to 47%ish, I see the value change on the master wheel as the LED's change white well the mix level is going up, as well I verify with my app, either on my iPad or iPhone... the mix level is changing all on it's own. Also the volume pedal is no longer a volume pedal (at times) and when used it'll cause the same problem and NO I don't have the volume pedal assigned to do a value change, I have a set mix level that is changing all on it's own. This is very noticeable when it changes the repeats are so loud they jumps out at you. If I step on the patch footswitch the settings go back to my settings, so thankfully the changes aren't saved, I do keep an app opened though so I can keep an eye on it as I do use it live in a Church setting where I can't use an amp. Called L6, they were very awesome and helpful, and I was told to try a reinstall, which I haven't done as of yet... Pete at L6 also told me he has never had this problem reported to him, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if so were you able to fix it, if you did fix it please share this info. Overall I do love the unit and the ease of editing, hope this isn't the beginning of the end.

Q: What type of devices can FIREHAWK FX stream Bluetooth audio from? A: Firehawk FX can stream Bluetooth audio from any Android device, iOS device, and Mac® or PC equipped with Bluetooth. Q: What Apple® iOS devices is Firehawk Remote compatible with? A: Firehawk Remote requires iOS 8.0 and is compatible with the following iOS devices: iPhone 6s/6s Plus iPhone 6/6 Plus iPhone 5S iPhone 5C iPhone 5 iPhone 4S iPad Pro iPad Air/Air2 iPad 4 iPad 3 iPad 2 iPad mini/mini 2/mini 3/mini 4 iPod 5 Q: How do I pair my Bluetooth device with FIREHAWK FX? A: To pair the Firehawk FX with your Bluetooth device: · Enable Bluetooth on the device you would like to stream audio from. · Put the FIREHAWK FX into ˜Pairing Mode™ by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button located to the left of the FIREHAWK FX logo- it will begin to flash to indicate it is in Pairing Mode™. · Within the Bluetooth options of your device an entry for FIREHAWK FX™ will appear. · Select the FIREHAWK FX™ entry and pair with it - the Bluetooth LED will stop flashing and become solidly lit blue. Q: How do I update the FIREHAWK FX's firmware? A: We always recommend that you run the latest firmware on your FIREHAWK FX. Your FIREHAWK FX Remote application will inform you whenever a firmware update is available, so you'll always know you have the latest version! Q: What Bluetooth version is used in FIREHAWK FX? What Bluetooth codecs are supported? A: We use a Bluetooth solution that supports Bluetooth 2.1. We only support the SBC codec at this time. Q: How can I reset the FIREHAWK FX to its default settings? A: To perform a factory reset and restore the FIREHAWK FX to factory settings, press and hold the Master Volume knob and the Tap button as you power up the unit. Unfortunately, any patches not backed up to My Tones prior to the reset will be lost Q: What can I do if I am experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues between my Bluetooth device and the FIREHAWK FX? A: For troubleshooting steps about Bluetooth connectivity and usage, check out our Bluetooth Connectivity FAQ HERE. Q: What should I do If I am experiencing connection issues with the FIREHAWK FX Remote app when I switch back and forth between apps on my iOS device? A: An important thing to note about the FIREHAWK FX Remote app functionality is that in addition to the iOS Bluetooth connection between your FIREHAWK FX and your iOS device, there is a secondary 'sync' connection between the amp and the app. Each time you minimize/close the app, the connection between the FIREHAWK FX Remote app and the FIREHAWK FX will need to be re-established, even if your iOS device is reporting that the FIREHAWK FX is connected via 'Bluetooth'. In this case, re-opening the FIREHAWK FX Remote app will automatically re-establish the connection within a few seconds. Make sure to look at the main menu of the FIREHAWK FX Remote app and wait for it to indicate that your FIREHAWK FX is 'connected' before moving forward using the app. If it does not automatically re-connect, close the FIREHAWK FX Remote app by double-tapping your iOS home key, then sliding the FIREHAWK FX Remote app window up and off the screen. Relaunch the FIREHAWK FX Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the FIREHAWK FX. Android devices usually have a function that lists all open programs where you can slide the app left or right to close it. Relaunch the FIREHAWK FX Remote app and it should re-sync itself with the hardware. Q: Can the FIREHAWK FX Remote App stream songs that are stored in the cloud and not on my mobile device? A: No. The FIREHAWK FX Remote App can only play back songs that are stored on your mobile device. Within the FIREHAWK FX Remote App settings, you can enable 'Hide Songs Not On Device' so that you only see songs that are stored on your mobile device when playing music from your Library. The Android app does not have this setting, but still only plays back songs stored on the device. Q: How can I search for a specific tone if I don't have the song or artist in my Library? A: To search for a specific tone, go to your Library within FIREHAWK FX Remote and pick any artist, then one of their albums, and then any song. This will begin to play the song and present you with a list of tones that match the song that is playing. You can then swipe down from the top of the tone list to unveil a "Search Tone Cloud™" field where you can search for an artist or song name to find tones without having the song or artist in your library. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK FX Remote app to load or edit tone files from my other existing Line 6 products? A: The FIREHAWK FX Remote app is only compatible with tone files created with the AMPLIFi family of products. Q: Can I use the FIREHAWK FX Remote app with a Line 6 Mobile In or Sonic Port? A: No. The FIREHAWK FX Remote app is only compatible with the FIREHAWK FX pedal board. Q: What is the USB input on the back panel of FIREHAWK FX for? A: It's used to update the unit with a Windows computer, and to record to your DAW. Q: What is the Firehawk's bit rate and sample rate when used as an audio interface? A: MacOS: 24bit / 48kHz Windows : 24 bit / 44.1-96kHz Q: Where can I register my FIREHAWK FX? A: After logging into or creating a Line 6 user account HERE, you can go HERE and enter in your serial number that is found on the bottom of your FIREHAWK FX, it begins with '(21)PTM', simply fill in the remaining digits. Q: Where can I provide my feedback or make a suggestion about FIREHAWK FX? A: We encourage you to visit our IdeaScale portal HERE and let us know about your ideas and suggestions. Q: Is there a forum where I can discuss FIREHAWK FX with other FIREHAWK FX users? A: We have a forum dedicated specifically to Firehawk FX available HERE. Q: Where can I find information on the warranty that is included with the FIREHAWK FX? A: You can find all of the available information on the Firehawk FX's warranty HERE. Q: What do I if my FIREHAWK FX is in need of repair? A: You can find all of the available information on how to arrange a repair HERE.
  9. Hi all... I need to hook up an MXR Talk Box to my Firehawk FX (just purchased for a fly gig). My first thought was to take the mono out of the Firehawk and plug it into the in of the talkbox...out of TB into amp. Not so sure that's the best way to go. Has anyone out there done it? I want to make sure that what ever sound I'm on goes through the talkbox as well. Feeling stupid... :( Thanks for for help! E
  10. Hi, What recording software works well with the Firehawk FX and Windows 10 PC? I'm looking for a simple one, to create some backing tracks. Rgds, Andre
  11. Hi, Was anyone able to use his Firehawk succesfully with RiffWorks, on a Windows 10 PC? Rgds, Andre
  12. I love my Variax Standard, but I've been underwhelmed by the acoustic models. From what I've read online, you really need an acoustic amp for these to shine, which I don't have. I saw the Firehawk FX has an acoustic amp model specifically designed for to use with the Variax models. Has anyone used this? If so, do the acoustic models sound better through it? This is the only acoustic amp sim I have been able to find. Also, is it still worth it to get the Firehawk FX? I like the functionality of the Firehawk FX and that you can control the settings with an app as opposed to being locked in front of my computer. But is Line 6 phasing them out? I don't want to buy something that's already obsolete and in danger of losing support. Of course, I'd get the Helix in a heartbeat, but at 5 times the price it's WAY out of my budget. Sweetwater has 48 months interest free financing on these for the next two days, so I'm kind of under the gun to make a decision. Any info you guys can give is most appreciated. Thanks, and rock on! Sandy
  13. I am using FireHawk remote on a iPad Gen 6, ios 12.1.1 paired over bluetooth and can manage the firehawk and change its presets and setting etc... However when I play music through Firehawk remote or iPad's itune and choose Firehawk FX as my audio destination no audio comes out from my guitar AMP, I can send the audio to other bluetooth enable speakers just fine. (Electric guitar and AMP are working fine), is there a setting in the iPad or Firehawk remote app that I need to change? Or do I need to set something up on the Firehawk itself. The firehawk is connected to the AMP via 1/4 jack. The firehawk software version is 1.3.6 build 112 Thanks
  14. Hello! I am very new to learning guitar, as well as all toys associated with it. I have a Spider V 120W, and just purchased a Firehawk FX. What is the best way to cable my Firehawk to my amp? Is the 4 cable method the best and/or only way? If I have the option to plug in to a sound board directly, can I just skip my amp, and plug my Firehawk via XLR directly to the board? Thank you so much for your help!! :)
  15. Help me! I just bought my Line 6 Firehawk FX and when I tried it at the shop it was fine but when I got home and tried to use it, when ever I strum or hit one string hard, the sound just cuts for half a second and then comes back again. Its especially annoying since I am an aggressive player I basically have to play really softly to get any usable sound from the thing. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth feature and turning it on and off again but it does not work. I have tried it with multiple guitars so I know that its not the guitars' fault. Do you guys know any solution to this? Please and thank you
  16. Hey, I am using my Firehawk FX with the Harley Benton G212 Vintage Cabinet. I go from the Firehawk right into the Cabinet without any additional amp. My problem now is, that the volume is very low. When I use the 1/4-inch mono out I can barely hear the sound, even when I turn the volume on the firehawk to max. When I switch the Output mode to Amp-Out mode, there is no sound at all. The only thing that works is plugging from the headphone output into the cabinet. With this there seems to be a normal sound, but I think it should be louder. My question is, what am I doing wrong? Is it even possible to go from the firehawk right into a cabinet? Thanks
  17. In case you need to perform a pedal calibration for your Firehawk FX. Here are the steps: 1. Hold down footswitch A while powering on the unit. At startup the display will show "00" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 2. Press footswitch D to begin. The display will change to "01" and footswitch D LED will turn off. 3. Press the pedal forward firmly to toggle the pedal toe switch. The display will change to "02" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 4. Move the pedal to the heel position. 5. Press footswitch D. The display will change to "03" and footswitch D LED will be lit. 6. Move the pedal to the toe position (do not click the toe switch). 7. Press footswitch D. The display will change to "04". 8. Move the foot pedal and watch the values change on the display. Values will scroll from a min. of 0 to a max. of 99. 9. Press footswitch D to save the calibration values. The display will change to "05". 10. Power cycle the unit and your pedal is calibrated.
  18. Please verify this issue/ bug so I can submit a support ticket as needed to correct. While going thru the list of all the Effects Available for the Firehawk in the PDF file you can get online, I noticed that the icons are switched when compared to the Icons for the 2 effects on the Firehawk Remote App. The 2 icons in question are : 1) the Seismik Synth. On the FH Remote app the icon shows a BROWN pedal with 2 knobs but on the Effects list pdf file it shows the icon of the Clean Sweep which is a blue/silver colored pedal. 2) The Clean Sweep. On the FH Remote app the icon shows a Blue/Silver colored pedal but on the Effects list pdf file it shows a Brown 2 knob pedal of the Seismik Synth. Im not sure which is the correct / intended color of each of these pedals but the reference document and the App should match to not add any confusion. See pg 7 of 9 of the attached PDF file left hand side column and see attached screen capture of the Firehawk FX app (Android Version version 1.30.2) Please verify. See attached PDF file here: firehawk-effects-models.pdf
  19. I'm unable to login via the Firehawk remote app on my iPhone 6, running the latest iOS (10.3.3). Tried with a friend's iPhone 5C and can't login on that either. I contacted support and tried reinstalling the app and restarting my iPhone (twice over) and still no joy. I can login fine to the line 6 site on my iOS web browsers, just not on the app, so I'm unable to back up my sounds and access the cloud. I've also tried in different locations. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, have you been able to resolve it?
  20. So I’m a bit late to the game with this and don’t want to shell out the cash for the Helix, so I just got my Firehawk FX a few days ago. All seemed fine except for two aspects. The first is that the firmware update through the Update Utility always fails. I’ve tried following what the Utility says to do in terms of turning the pedal on while holding the preset A and preset C switches but the updates continue to fail. My second issue, and a big on for me as I was hoping to replace my BlackStar ID with this pedal is that when I record the playback audio is of my guitar detuned somewhere between a half and full step. Furthermore, the playback crackles. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Is it maybe due to the firmware updates not going through? I am running through a Relay G10 but I don’t think that would cause these issues. Thanks in advance!
  21. Help please line firehawk Brethren. Been using my Firehawk FX live for a while now and never had a problem with it. I'm used to switching patches and am used to gaps in between patches. I have been using a new sound for a particular song which seems to take much longer to load. I have the same tone on 2 patches, one for chorus playing and one for solo. Whereas normal patches change within say half a beat these 2 patches are taking at least a 2 beats to change which during playing feels like a lifetime and is more than noticeable. Both the tones are the same except for volume. They take the same time to load when switching between each other and from completely different patches. No device is Bluetoothed to it when I'm playing either. Can anybody suggest a reason why this is? Hopefully its a quick fix with a setting in the patch itself, I hope. Any advice would be greatly received.
  22. Is there any way to add effects blocks to the signal chain for a profile on Firehawk FX? For example, I have an external compressor so I don't plan on assigning the Firehawk compressor to a foot switch. I was hoping I could add another effect in place of it (and in addition to the 3 completely assignable blocks). Right now I just have an unused footswitch because of this and would like to add an effect block and assign it to that switch if possible. As far as I know this cannot be done, but possibly functionality that could be added?
  23. I have made an AC30 preset which is half dirty/half clean. Sounds great! However, I have noticed some weird behaviour. If I engage the tuner - tune and then go back to the preset, sometime its like the volume has dropped off or the preset isn't sounding the way it should. I have to switch over to a different preset, then BACK to the AC30 one to make it sound normal again. Corrupt preset? That seems unlikely as I have just made it with the iPhone app and saved it directly to the Firehawk FX. Anyone ever experience this?
  24. Im trying to find what the starting template is on this thing . I want to make my own patches but i want to start 100 % with nothing . There does not seem to be a ground up template. I dont want to edit existing patches . anyone know how to do this .
  25. It would be helpful if it could manage patches properly in a completely stand alone manner between the amp and the local android device. (i.e. copy/move/import/export/etc like Line6 Edit used to do.) The app is great while line6's cloud is available, but it's patch management is quite crippled without connectivity to a line6 account. I don't know how everyone else feels, but I would rather not rely upon line6 continuing to support the product or the "cloud". (I've sent an email to the android team requesting this.) It would be interesting to gauge support for this.
