  1. The one area I'm finding lacking so far is Preset management. In the OG Helix I had a setlist for each band and could easily offload or reload sets by band as necessary. My current method in Helix Stadium is that I group all User Presets by band, batch color them by band as well, and alphabetize within band groups. Then I can easily just save one band's presets to my PC to make room to load another band's presets if need be. I play and sub in a lot of projects and also lots of one-off shows, and make a preset per song so that the Helix is also my setlist, so they can build up fast. To that end, 3 things I think could vastly improve management. 1. Folders within the User Presets. Then I could have a folder per band. 2. since set lists are just "aliases" pointing to a user preset, being able to rename ONLY the alias would be super helpful. That way if I have 10 songs that just use my "Marshall Plexi" preset, I can rename them for each song while also have them all just pointing to the same preset. As it is now, I just have to have 10 redundant copies of the same preset if I want them to be named for 10 different songs. 3. If I save presets from the setlist to my PC, it only saves 0K "alias" and not the actual preset, which I can't see why I would ever want to do. It seems like it should save the actual preset to my PC. There very well may be better solutions as well, this is just what I've thought of while figuring out my workflow.
  2. While I'm still getting to know the new unit, I've been keeping Hype at 0 to try out the most realistic model sounds but I do think Hype is a great and useful feature! I'm just curious if any of you are generally using it or dialing some in.
  3. Mostly IEMs but with one band where I need an on-stage "amp" I use a QSC K10.2 and it works great. I use all kinds of models as I always have a preset per song.
  4. NICE. Almost makes me want to get one even though the Gator case I used with my OG Helix works great with the Stadium and has a handle and wheels! But I do have to take it OUT of the case to use it.
  5. Weird indeed! I was definitely tweaking on the unit itself and it happily stays right where I am in a set list now after saving a tweak.
  6. I did consider it, but I just figured "Oh I was just dumb and didn't look at the release notes."
  7. It's a small fix I know but I didn't realize how much it was interrupting my workflow until working on a setlist today and finding it fixed! Thanks Line 6! It used to be that if you were in a setlist, and did a tweak and saved a preset, that it took you out of the setlist and to wherever that preset was saved in the User Presets. Now I can make a tweak, save it, and still be right where I was in my setlist! The tiny "quality of life" stuff like this makes a HUGE difference!
  8. I had a problem at first but then saw that release notes said "If you get error -16 you need to sign in" and that was my issue. So I deleted my initial thread.
  9. Ooh good catch! I hadn't even thought about trying that with mine!
  10. I didn't want every effect automatically being assigned to a stomp as I usually only assign things IF I need to turn them on/off for a song, so I set that to manual. ...And realized later on that using that option also means Volume and Wah blocks do not get auto mapped to the volume/toe like they used to. It would sure be great to have an option for the OG helix functionality of auto-assigning volume/wah but everything else being manual! (and yes I will also open a ticket.)
  11. Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! thanks!
  12. I did and they couldn't tell me any more than the standard description everywhere else.
  13. Yeah I discovered recently as well that the line was only on unit itself. More confusing on the editor. I just remember for the moment that Clarity is the first non-agoura model.
  14. I opened a ticket on this as well. If I'm live on a gig, and make a quick tweak, I want to stay exactly where I am in my current set list, not be taken to the preset in the User Presets list and then have to go find my way back to where we are in the set list.
  15. I actually filed a ticket saying that when exporting from a setlist it should export the associated PRESET and not the ALIAS, as I also was bit by this and I can't think of any reason I would ever want to export the alias. They said no guarantee that would change, but I'm hoping they will realize that current system is dumb (IMO) and change it.
  16. I canceled my D10 preorder until I can positively CONFIRM that it will allow the Stadium to change Variax models/pickups/tunings. Because if it can't then it's definitely no use to me and I can't yet get a definitive answer anywhere.
  17. Even though I never really used that (I generally just go by ear with anything I use that pedal for) I do wonder why they removed that useful feature. My guess i "bang for the buck." The extra cost of another screen probably wasn't worth how few people used it. That's all just assumption on my part though. I do wish they had kept it. I did like having visual reference too.
  18. I used Orban loudness meter and it worked via usb-c. I think maybe just the editor is wifi only for now until they rehearse the usb update. I was really surprised when Orban worked and recognized my stadium as a usb-c interface.
  19. I'm guessing the D10 will ship with a cable like the Variaxes shipped with to hook up to the Variax Interface that had Ethercon on one side and regular ethernet on the other. I did also use a plain old ethernet cable at a gig once in a pinch. They work just fine, you just have to be more careful to avoid damaging the jack.
  20. The thing is -23 in Orban (LUFS or whatever those meters are, I'm not at home right now) seems to translate to -18 in my DAW IIRC.
  21. I know on my OG Helix the 2 paths were separate DSP chains so if you needed two DSP heavy things it was generally best to have one on path A and one on path B. Is this still true on Stadium? Just trying to figure out what patterns of my old ways of thinking still apply and what I need to unlearn.
  22. No I just meant that on the OG Helix I ended up with more than 512 preset slots because I used ALL the set list slots and didn't keep those.
  23. I rarely use my Catalyst as I'm usually running my Helix direct but when I do use it I find my brain works better with the Helix methodology of direct amp models. I know when I want to reach for a Vox AC30 or a Bassman or a Plexi. Since Catalyst doesn't use that methodology I am not as "familiar" with the original amp models. Are there at least basic comparisons that can be made to help me hold them in my mind? I think "Chime" is "voxish" if I'm not mistaken. And Crunch is Marshallesque? What about the others? I've been using the moa in Manual mode for a weekly Beatles jam so am only now kind of getting to know it better.
  24. I’m away from home for the next week so I can’t test mine but I’m curious now as I have that pedal as well!
