I'd like to see an acoustic pre-amp/Amp. I have a piezo bridge in one of my guitars which sounds quite good, but I'd like to put it through a dedicated acoustic amp and maybe an IR to see what I can get. There's no reason for not producing one as far as I can see. For the money, I am actually surprised there isn't one on there ... Dr Spankle

I just received this : 6.3mm Mono jack Angled Plug to 6.3mm Mono Jack Socket Custom Length .4 m from custom-lynx.co.uk and it has sorted the Les Paul out perfectly. Great service too. Dr Spankle

I just did a little experiment: with the Les Paul in its stand, I attached a mono patch cable from it to a Boss pedal, and plugged the G10 transmitter into the mono out (as I don't have a male/female 1/4 inch lead). The whine was heavily reduced but still there. I have a patch cable on its way so will let you know how that sounds.

I have the Alex Lifeson Les Paul with the piezo in the Graphtech Floyd, and I get the same annoying squeal over the signal. The guitar sound is still there, but there's a whine over the top. Doesn't matter whether the piezo is live or not.

I'll let you know what I find - I like to see what others are doing too. I mean, I try my own stuff as I'm sure you do, but it would be niaive at best and arrogant at worst to assume no-one could come up with something better (or even just surprising and fresh). Sorry everyone on here isn't being entirely helpful - remember, never argue with an idiot: they'll drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience ...

The ability to rename the bl**dy amps and pedals to what they're meant to emulate! I get why the Helix ships with non-copyrighted names, but I'd like to change them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm really just looking for a basis to begin tweaking I suppose. Watching the Edge on some of the videos where he's demo-ing his rig, it looks like he's using an expression pedal for something (wah?). I guess if I can get the fundamentals of what effects and amp etc I can fine tune it for my guitar and speaker. Any (clean) suggestions welcome! Dr Spankle

How long is it likely to be before (if) we get a switchless wah? I'm going to have to buy one otherwise, but I'd rather wait if I had some idea of the possible timeframe. Cheers, Dr Spankle

I'm using it with a Marshall JTM and it sounds great. That said, I do wonder what it would sound like through an FRFR cab, as there is always bound to be a bit of amp colouring to the tone from the Marshall. Regards, Dr Spankle

I have a Marshall JTM 60 and matching cab. Can I use the cab as an FRFR speaker for the helix? I'm currently putting the Helix through my JTM 30 clean channel to practice with, but wonder what colouring of the tone that's giving. It would be nice to hear it through an FRFR cab, but I'm not that up-to-speed with these things. Any ideas anyone? Regards, Dr Spankle
