  1. Bookmarked, thank you again! Really digging these books, they're very helpful & informative.
  2. That did the trick, thank you! While I have your attention, your Studio One book v1.4 also seems to have the same mis-configuration.
  3. Tried it in macos Chrome, Adobe Reader, iOS Books, iOS Files app, always the same: my copy of the v1.1 PDF shows a TOC/bookmarks list, v1.2 doesn't. It's the file. I downloaded it from the sweetwater link just a few days ago, would that make any difference?
  4. @craiganderton if possible, is there any way to restore the Table of Contents data when you generate the PDF? I notice that the TOC isn't generated anymore, it was in 1.1, see the attached screenshot. This is using Skim PDF reader v1.6.15 on macOS 11.7.4 if that matters. I also noticed this same issue with your latest Huge Book of S1 Tips & Tricks v1.4 update vs. the prior edition.
  5. Another +1 for @SaschaFranck's recommendation to use an aggregate device and take USB out from the Helix Floor into your DAW. I have not found latency to be an issue, buffer is set to 32 in Logic Pro and I've never run out of CPU (ymmv of course). Regarding signal indicators, see your manual (my Stomp manual has them on pg. 23, under Blocks: Signal Present and Clip Indicators).
  6. Are you using the HX Stomp as part of an aggregate device? I recently had a similar experience, both my HX Stomp & eventide h9 lost their marbles so to speak. To restore the Stomp I needed to recreate the aggregate device that it was part of. So check the Audio/Midi app and see what the HX looks like there, it was greyed-out in mine and couldn't be changed until I made a new aggregate device. I think it was a macOS update; everything worked fine in the evening, then bonkers the next am for no other reason.
  7. I experienced a similar problem in the past. My solution was to create an aggregate device. Specifically, I combined the HX Stomp and my Scarlett 2i2 and use that. I have my headphones plugged into the Scarlett. I think the problem occurs when Logic has to send audio to a different device than what it gets the input from. So perhaps try creating an aggregate audio device containing the HX Stomp and your Built-In Output. Use the Audio MIDI Setup app for this.
  8. One mac/usb problem I ran into is if I have HX Edit open & connected to my HX Stomp, and then turn off the Stomp, my entire USB system would reset, unmounting all my external drives etc such that I'd have to reboot. My solution is to just make sure that I _always_ quit HXEdit before changing the power status of my Stomp: Stomp on -> start Edit close Edit -> Stomp off
  9. I'm in a similar situation: physical HX device (Stomp), Helix Native, separate audio interface (Scarlett 2i2) and Logic Pro. What worked for me is to mostly use the HX Stomp, connected via USB to my mac. In Logic, I setup my template so that i'm always recording both the effected signal (HX Stomp outs 1 & 2) and the dry* signal (HX Stomp outs 5 & 6) This lets me either reamp the dry, or I can run it through Helix Native or whatever other plugins. Unusually, I also monitor via the HX Stomp headphones out. This monitor is everything out including Logic. I have the HX & Scarlett set up as an aggregate device and for my purposes have not noticed any performance or latency issues. I would definitely try to avoid sending HX analog audio out into UA Twin Apollo analog audio in, you're just converting the audio back & forth between analog & digital for no gain IMO. * I have my stomp on a pedalboard, there is compression and a few other pedals before it goes into the Stomp so it's technially not a completely dry signal, but close enough.
  10. If you're going that route then there are other products e.g. MS Remote Desktop Mobile which is free (but I have never used it so can't provide an opinion on it).
