  1. When posting/replying, there is a button on far right bottom corner "More Reply Options" which shows the attachment feature you're looking for. Otherwise you can use Photobucket or something else and cut/paste weblink using the "Image" icon above in toolbar above.

  6. I endured the same exact frustration with my sunburst v500. It played so well, that for the longest time I just played it unplugged as my "practice" guitar. Wishing now I hadn't sold it. And I too thought about putting pickups in my v500 and just going analog, but was too chicken (didn't have a router either). Here is a youtube video I found while researching a variax with pickups idea (not me in video).
  7. Zap, that was the option I wanted to do with my old v500. Spectrum Audio has same one, but nothing about specific elec or acoustic preference: http://www.spectrumaudio.com/line-6-50-02-0005-2.html
  8. Exactly what happened to my 500 (yes bricked). Things may be different now, but L6 support told me there were no boards or spare parts available to sell for legacy variax's. Taking to local shop would have cost hundreds. Here are parts available that were not over a year ago when this happened to me, I ended up selling my V500 for $100 (most I could get). http://www.fullcompass.com/product/341653.html <---"Line 6 50-02-0005-2Main PCB For VARIAX 700" http://www.fullcompass.com/product/458195.html <---"Line 6 50-02-0049Bridge PCB For Variax" See this thread for all the gory details (and some tough love from "TheRealZap") http://line6.com/support/topic/973-is-it-true/
  9. The 500 and 700 are 4 hole boards, the 3/5/600s are 3 hole boards. Retrofitting is always an option.
  10. It figures after I sell the 500 that we can now buy the boards and they are "in-stock", thanks a lollipop-ton for nothing. http://www.fullcompass.com/product/341653.html
  11. Wish I hadn't sold my bricked V500 for $100 now.......figures. http://www.fullcompass.com/product/431850.html
  12. I'd love one of those old Trace Elliott Acoustic Guitar Amps (before they went totally bass). I always thought they sounded soooo good!
  13. Is there a way (yes, I have searched) to export the patch names only for either a single complete set list, or the entire full set of 8? I basically want to export to CSV or XLSX, all of the names of the patches from 1A through 16D. Thanks
  14. Those of you here that are bashing me for my old-fashioned beliefs, fine - whatever. I don't know you, and I honestly don't care what you think. I believe companies need to back their products, and their customers - even a 10+ year old product (I bet you that Jim Marshall's Employees don't lollipop on customers that have 10+ year old equipment.) Otherwise they are no better than China shipping us wads of lead made to look like children's toys. And yes I understand that we are in a disposable age where no one gives a lollipop about reliability anymore. We've been taught that it's normal and our peers tell us the same, and we're all Lemmings for going along with it. I have a hard time believing the new Variax has a board/electronics so different from the old Variax. I came here looking for answers beyond what L6 was able to give. I thought there might be a slim hope that someone else had the issue and might have that magical fix. I know better now, and I won't be back for assistance from you so-called "L6 Pros". So throw your hate and negativity at me, I just don't give a lollipop anymore (hey, I should work for L6!).....
