  1. Sounds very very good! Can’t wait to update!! But one question about MIDI clock: the posting says: “Receive MIDI Clock—Helix can now synchronize its time-based effects (such as delay and modulation) …“ What about the looper? Will it also be synced?
  2. Since we’re doing 80s post punk mostly, I’m still in love with the Jazz Rivet including a TS808 and the 70s Chorus. This is as far away from any bluesy sound as it can be … B)
  3. Thanks HonestOpinion for your detailed and informative writing! Here is an additional hint on the ATTACK knob on most compressors: Say your attack knob has a range from 1 to 10 clockwise. This does NOT mean that you will »raise« the attack (or make it »faster« or more »attackish« or whatever) when turning the knob towards 10! Instead you are shifting the point when the attack comes in and how slow it comes in! So if you want a fast attack leave the knob at 1, if you want a slow attack, turn the knob towards 10. I myself understood this wrong for years until a professional explained it to me.
  4. And a thank you from here as well, updating went fine. Fun fact: since Helix Editor Version 2.00 it shuts down quickly on a Mac, thanks for that. Before 2.00 the editor took ages to finally terminate after quit (and shutting down the Helix itself had to wait until that was done).
  5. I don’t see any »spread«-parameter in Pitch Echo (Stereo Version) at all. Instead I see a »scale«-parameter. Just to make sure …
  6. Great! What drummer do you use? EZ? Addictive? Or do you drum live?
  7. I had the same issue with my MacBook Pro Mid 2012 an El Cap 10.11.4. While we are waiting for the next version of the editor I can confirm that a workaround with a USB 2 hub connected between Helix and Mac allows the helix application to run. I use a small "LINDY USB 2.0 Smart Hub Pro" (http://www.lindy-usa.com/usb-hub-4-port-usb-20-smart-hub-pro-with-power-supply-42999.html) even without the power supply and that works fine.
  8. Be sure to connect the HELIX directly (not through an USB Hub, Monitor or Keyboard).
  9. OMG I was blind. Sorry & cheers from Germany!
  10. When editing my HELIX, I see assorted parameters like e.g. »Sag«, »Ripple«, »Bias«, »Bias X« on amp page 2. In the manual I cant’ find these described anywhere. Of course I can play around with those parameters, but It would be fine to have something like an »In-depth Manual«, where ALL parameters of ALL blocks are described in detail. No volunteers out there to do that? :D :D
  11. Thanks Uber Guru. That helped. I couldn’t find anything in the manual about it ... or I overlooked it.
  12. I can’t get my new HELIX to tap tempo my delays. Pressing TAP in a »groove« just seems to affect the LED blinking tempo. But not my delays. Firmware 1.03.0. What am I doing wrong?
