It is Cakewalk, thanks I'll try that.

After the 3.50 update my DAW will not work. I’m running windows 11 and it worked perfectly before the update. Any ideas on a fix would be greatly appreciated.

I leave the volume knob at zero unless I'm playing live.

Can the Helix running 2.81 switch the models in the L3m from patch to patch? I can do it by selecting the model on the L3m and saving the patch on the HD500X and the models would change with the corresponding patch change.

I went back and checked the Volume knob. It was set to multi, I normally set it to only control the XLR output so when I feed the house I can control the level. Thanks, Xmacvicar.

I checked that, but no luck.

I updated my helix to 2.80. Now the two Line 6 L3M speakers connected via L6 Link aren't working.

My expression pedal doesn't work after my update to 2.71. Also, the display for EXP1 is grayed out. Any thoughts on a resolution?

I don't know if its the fact that I'm getting old or I'm too lazy to memorize chord changes, it's probably both. I normally use a bank per song when I play live. If I don’t use all 10 places for patches, I’ll use the scribble strips as a cheat sheet. I’ll put the chord names there if it’s a song I don’t feel like remembering or just don’t care to remember.

After upgrading to Helix 2.30, Workbench will not recognize my JTV-89.

I use two Stagesource L3Ms connected via the Line 6 Link. 2800 watts, great stereo image and clarity.

I'm selling my Variax 300 Nylon. Please reply if interested.

I use two Stagesource L3M's on stands. You can save the speaker profiles with your helix patches. Transparent and a total of 2800 watts, it works for me.

I use a pair of Line 6 L3M's in stereo.

I need advice for preforming live with Helix on cruise ship gig.

I use two Line 6 L3M's in stereo on stands. They are a 3â€way, triâ€amped speaker system. For smaller venues they can fill the out the direct feed to the PA, for large venues I use one for side fill and one in front of the Helix in a monitor configuration. They not only reproduce the models faithfully, but the Helix can switch speaker programs in the L3M's that are saved with the patches. Very transparent and each L3m can produce 1400 watts. -
89F modeling is differnent than 69
kimsharp replied to frstrat's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Perhaps the two octave neck of the 89 and different scale length may give the modeling engine a different timbre that affects the output. -
I wonder if there will be a future Firehawk Plus that would include the Line 6 Link. I use my Pod HD500 with my JTV and 2 L3m's via the Line 6 Link. I would love to have ios compatibility to edit at a sound check, but I use the different speaker configurations on the L3m's in all my patches called up via the Line 6 Link.
-
It would be more useful if it had the Line 6 Link output. I use my JTV-89 with my HD500 into 2 L3m Stagesource Speakers via the Line 6 Link. I write scenes that switch the guitars, amps, effects, speaker contours. I hope they develop a pro version that will allow me to continue with my current setup.

Will there be a New Variax HD Bass?
kimsharp replied to kimsharp's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
BTW, I neglected to put in my post that the only instruments used on the song I linked were my JTV-89, my Variax 700 Bass, and Battery 3 controlled by my Alesis Control Pad.- 11 replies

kimsharp replied to kimsharp's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I talked to a Sweetwater rep today and he told me the JTV-89 was showing as discontinued in his order system. He thinks something new is coming from Line 6. I would hope they would expand the Variax line.- 11 replies

I am starting to do the demos for my new album. The album concept is "keyboard free". All tracks are played using only Guitar, Bass and Drums. So to record the bass for "Lujon" by the great Henry Mancini, I dusted off my Variax 700 Bass. I used the 1949 Kay Upright Bass for the track and I think the model is kind of flat compared to the models in my James Tyler 89 and 69. It made me wonder if Line 6 is going to produce an updated bass. I've included the link to the demo, the bass is ok, but not as resonant as my real upright bass. https://soundcloud.com/kimguidry/lujon
