I have been working an a patch and I noticed this morning that when I play a chord and let it sustain there is some 'swelling' in the sound like the volume is going up and down slightly. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks!

Does changing from Line level to XLR fix it?

It cannot be turned off unfortunately. It's always on.

I recently got a Henriksen Bud amp and I was trying to use the Helix as an effects only unit. The problem is that connecting with XLR has a lot of hiss. Connecting with a guitar cable works fine. Does anyone have the solution for this? Thanks Aaron

So we can use the supplied cable that comes with it and then get the better one from btpa.com when we are sure the guitar is working fine and we are keeping it? Also can you run two guitars at once (acoustic model and tele) at the same time or is it either/or? Thanks guys!

Do we need a special cable to connect it to the helix and power it or does it one with?

There are some pretty crappy reviews about Musicians Friend sending out defective guitars and these guitars having a lot of QC issues. Does anyone here have any experience?

Hi guys, I posted a support ticket and they gave me the answer, seems to work great! "Hi, When you add an IR, it automatically has a -18db gain adjustment in the IR parameters. If you lower the mix percentage it would be like the volume is just dropping. Change the gain parameter to 0db if you're going to use the mix at anything but 100%. Thanks, Will - Line 6 Support"

Does anyone know if I can have a path for my electric guitar and another path for say the piezo output on my guitar and get the looper working so that it records both inputs and not just one of them?

Hi The IR block level is at -18.0 dB. I thought about setting a separate path but I'd prefer it if the mix control works as expected.

Hi, I downloaded the Taylor IR's as I have a piezo pickup in my PRS guitar. The problem is that with this IR engaged the sound is too 'wet'. I tried using the mix control but all it does is lower the output volume. Is there a way to blend a little IR sound with the original signal?

Thanks for this, do you know if anyone has added a suggestion for vocal harmonies to the list? Even just a 3rd above would be great.

Does anyone know if the harmony settings can be applied to vocals in order to have a 3rd above (like the TC stuff does)? Also does anyone have any good tips for setting up a vocal mic. Which effects and eq etc do you use?

I had the same issue with my MacBook Pro. Couldn't use the Helix app or the firmware updater. Tried it in my new retina 27" iMac and it works perfectly!

I just tried from my new iMac and it works perfectly. Must be an issue with the older mid 2012 MacBook Pro...

I have the issue where USB keeps losing connection in the helix and the update apps. I can only update the firmware by running in safe mode. Is this an issue for everyone with El Capitan or only a few of us. Tomorrow is my last day to return my Helix to the store.
