  3. Here's a strange one. I was playing a gig when for no reason my D string died and my Helix froze. I rebooted my Helix but my D string was still dead. I perservered playing three string solos whilst swearing under my breath for the rest of the gig! When I got home I hooked up my JTV with my Helix and it had "fixed" itself. So I thought I would "reflash" my JTV with workbench. What I found was my Strat in position 4 had, had it's output raised by 1db! I readjusted it to normal. At my next gig everything was normal. My question is could a power spike have happened that I did not notice have caused this?

  5. No, this problem occurs when playing live. It is particularly noticeable when switching from my "Joe Walsh" tone to clean when playing "Lifes been good". I tried to solve the issue by having the clean and crunch on one preset but ran out of dsp so I have to use two presets.
  6. Has anyone had an issue with latency? I ask because I have recently noticed that on a few (not one!) patches the sound seems to "fade in" to full volume over a period of 2-3secs. This is driving me nuts. Has anyone else noticed this and if so how have you fixed it?
  7. Again Scott great work you've got a great ear for tones and really nailed it with this. Cheers Don.
  8. Scott Minchk is the Helix Channel guy and is BRILLIANT!! check him out he gives free prestets and also tips on James Tyler Variax too.
  9. Go on You tube to the helix channel with Scott Minchk he's brilliant and gives free presets.
  10. Oxygen Music in Moorable Street Geelong, Victoria said they will have the Helix in, in a month or two.

    Mixer Function

Thank you but I worked out how to access the mixer by pressing the action button on an effect or amp and dropping it below to a new chain. The mixer appears at the chain "junction".

    Mixer Function

HI Peter, What I really want to know is how to put a mixer into a new preset so I can use it as a boost. Thanks for your response too. Cheers Don,
  15. Though I am "happy" with my Helix so far I have found that some of the effects are not the same (or as good as) my Pod HD500x. There is only one Phaser and that Phaser (based on the MXR) is not as "Swirly) as the Barberpole Phaser in my old unit. Like wise some of the tremolos offered don't seem to have the same dynamics as my old Pod. The old Opto tremolo had a lot more editing capability and seemed "sharper" than the Optical Tremelo. Will there be a chance to add new effects models in the future? Cheers Don.

    Mixer Function

I accidently found that some patches have a mixer function added. I found this by going into edit mode and pressing the Mode pedal when "MORE" was lit up. How can I assign a Mixer for all patches same as my old Pod HD500x as this function was really usefull to use as a boost? Cheers Don.
  17. The fire hawk app is available on Apple. Search either Line 6 Fire hawk or just fire hawk.
