In that case I'd never get the chance to update!!! I gig 5-7 days a week. It's my living.

Because I'm a "pro", not like some trolls on this forum who's IQ is lower than a slug! I made sure I backed up all my presets and was able to roll back my Helix to 2.01 for my upcoming 37 gigs before Christmas. Whilst a lot of "wannabes are still playing with themselves in their bedrooms. Captain Nemo you "nailed it" in understanding mine and am sure others, concerns.

So eagerly, I alongside possibly thousands of other faithful Line 6 users downloaded the "latest and greatest" update 2.10 only to be disappointed in the "schemozzle" of the Expression pedal being unusable and the presets sounding completely different!! As a professional musician I rely on dependabilty and predictability of my equipment to ensure my audience is pleased. The new update is a disgrace. So much so I am hoping that I can roll back to 2.01 and get my tones back. This new update has clearly not been tested by working/gigging musicians and it seems to me has been released for "Thanksgiving" to "Please" the "I want something now crowd" !!! It is no wonder Line 6 has a bad reputation with some musicians. Line 6 If you are going to update Helix or any Line 6 product GET IT RIGHT or don't dot it !!!!!

As good as the 2.10 upgrade is is Line 6 going to intergrate Workbench for us Variax/JTV users? Come on tell us!!!

Hi all I use my Helix and JTV69 direct into my Bose with the Tone Match set on the "Line 6 Pod" setting. The clean strat and acoustic sound great but when I choose a crunch sound I can't quite get the "metal" sound. The sound is good but a bit "boxy". I use sigma ir's and cut low and high to taste and tried putting in parametric eq to fix but to no avail. I have also tried other Tonematch settings such as "miked cab with SM57" "Flat EQ" and "Fender Strat". Does anyone use the same system as me and do they have the same issue? If you have a fix I would love you to share it with me and others on the forum. Cheers Don. .

You need to press and hold the setlist select button and helix will give you the option to rename snapshot.

Variax 300-700 do not work the same as JTV Variax's that's a real issue with HELIX that and not linking the Work bench is a real pain. I am sure Line 6 are working to fix this. If however they have no plans to fix then they should be open and advise future buyers that HELIX is not the same as the Pod hd series in the way it recognise ALL Variax models.

Administrators show some leadership and close this religious BS down. I am a musician not some believer of an unknown being.

What has this got to do with Helix? The administraters should stop this religious bs.

I had the same issue but my Helix was purchased from the USA and not under warranty in Australia. Luckily I know a technician who took the unit apart and found that the wires that connect the rotary switch had broken. He repaired it and stated that the wires used were too fine to cope with wear and tear. He replaced the wires with a higher guage and all is good. No doubt Line 6 will upgrade future Helix as a result of ever increasing failures that seem to be reported. I now have a scribble strip with a line through it, I suspect again through using cheap chinese parts. Good luck with yours.

The same has happened to me last night at a gig where I was trying to impress a potential new buyer!!!!

Don't really want to send back to US for repair as I gig 3-4 times per week and I can't or won't do it without my Helix. I love it. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

I'm in a similar position too as live in Australia and purchased unit from USA. I think you will find its not covered.

I have the same issue too problem for me though is I purchased unit from USA and I live in Australia and warranty is void.

To change models of your JTV you need to change at input and press the button there will be [ ] appear to show model which you can save to that snapshot. . Also make sure that in global settings snapshot default is set to discard. When activated a red camera apoears in the top right hand corner of the display screen.

Have you tried Snapshot?

Have you thought of controlling your amp volume knob awith the expression pedal?

Unfortunately Helix only recognizes James Tyler on Standard Variax not Variax 300, 500 or 600. I can't understand why Line 6 released Helix without supporting older Variaxs or even intergration of Workbench. I hope they fix this.
