    POD HD400

Suddenly one day, when I plugged in my POD HD400 the most of the bottom row of foot switches (MODE, AMP, FX1, FX2, FX3) stopped lighting up or showing any other sign of working. Now, when I hit the Up or Down foot switches it moves directly from one preset to the next. Is there something I can press to get the MODEs working again or is my unit just fried?
  2. Hi, I have an issue on my great POD HD500 with foot switch FS3. Specifically, I found it broken with spring out of slot. I am unable to find any way to mount it properly. If I click on the button underneath it works, so it's not electronic, just the switch to be mounted correctly. I am attaching some pics, can anybody help me? I hope this is not irremediably broken and need a replacement. Thx!
  3. How do I make a foot switch swap cab for IR? basically I want the same foot switch to turn off one and on the other so the Cab and the cab IR are not "on" at the same time and at least one of them is always on. Also I want to use 2 IR's in the same preset but it wont let me add another one to the chain example: I want to use the Taylor Guitar IR in the beginning of the chain and use the Scum Back Cab IR after the Amp... I might need to start another topic for this part...
  4. Hi to all, Just received my helix last Saturday and happy with it. Much more user friendly than my Kemper. But here's the question : Is it possible to put more blocks with fx on 1 footswitch? F.e. I mostly use a delay only with my leadsound. So 1 press to switch boost and delay on simultaneously. And 1 step further: if I use my leadsound I hate reverb, so maybe with the same switch turn it of, when the other 2 go on, and vice versa. Let me know your thoughts. Ruud
  5. I have a suggestion. I don't know if it is possible within the Firehawk FX firmware to enable a "midi control" effect or box or whatever. Something that works kind of like the internal looper. Set a specific switch to send a midi signal (over USB) or have a way to make the "Tap" switch a midi control... Here is my issue. I'd like to record guitar in to a scene in Ableton Live 9 on the fly (keep the creative juices flowing). Starting and punching in is no problem, but triggering the punch-out is impossible with a guitar in your hands. I've rigged some stuff up in the past with a qwerty keyboard on the floor, but that thing was ugly as hell and killed the vibe. So I've got my Firehawk, a beautiful $400 multi-effects pedal with a USB port. Strange thing is, you guys made that USB port exclusively a firmware update port. Seems like a weird decision to me... but I feel like, since the hardware is already there, you guys could patch in a firmware update that unlocked that USB port so that it could be used in ableton. Also, while we're on the topic, why didn't you create an effect editing tool for PC? Bluetooth connectivity with my phone seems silly when I'm sitting next to my full Windows workstation... and it can be downright annoying with disconnects and whatnot. Just some suggestions.
  6. Hi, I've been a BOSS user for the past 10 years, mastering every aspect Of the GT MultiFX line. I'm in the process of transitioning to The HD500x to expand and experiment with the LINE6 workflow. I bought one already but it won't arrive until next week. I would like to know if it's possible to attach a dual footswitch. According to the manual, I can plug an expression pedal into the "pedal 2" jack, but I don't need another one besides the built-in EXP. In the past, I used to plug a BOSS FS6 via TRS cable to the "CTL1,2/EXP" jack of the GT8, allowing me to freely program parameters to either of the footswitch buttons (labeled CTL 1 and 2 in the system). The GT8 allowed me to assign modes: latching or unlatching –to operate as on/off for effects– or min/max for specific parameter jumps. I believe the POD allows similar functionalities with the top row switches; nevertheless, I would want to use the BOSS FS6 with the HD500X. Has anyone done this?
