carlomarcos
Hi guys. I need your help. Its been 2 weeks now since i got the issue on my PODHD500. ISSUE: My Laptop (corei7 8gb ram win7 x64) Can detect my POD but it has a yellow exclamation point indicating a device wont start properly. I installed the drivers. Reinstalled it and so on but it wont do any changes. i also tried installing to other PC. Tried to changed cables. I also tried the global reset. nothing foxed the issue. Also my POD is on Bootloop on the line6 logo whenever i do the global reset. Test mode happens when i pish right nav button while powering on. And update flash screen when holding the down nav. Monkey and edit wont detect my POD so i cant reflash the firmware. What to do? Need replies and solution. Please help And thanks in advance to those who will respond. Also i already open a support ticket but line6 hasnt responded yet. I really need to fix it badly. :(
taylorbeats
Are you using the official Line 6 Pod HD 500 power supply?
duncann
Since you tried on more than one computer the chances of the problem being something with the pod increases. Another bad indication is a bootloop after a global reset. If you can take the pod back to the store you bought it from, don't hesitate. Otherwise, you'll probably have to get it serviced somewhere. pianoguyy
Just to cover all of the bases... Have you turned your computer off? It is amazing at how many problems are fixed after a reboot.
wjoyce
Check the USB socket on the Pod. The central plastic separator can break easily leaving the pins exposed and susceptible to shorting.
spawn2031
I would agree that this is all pointing to the pod being the issue. The only thing I could think you could try would be to run Monkey and when it doesn't detect anything select your pod from the drop down list anyway. This will at least allow you to download the most up to date version of the drivers and re install them just in case you got a bad install (highly unlikely on two PCs though). marcgtr
Same issue, just updated and monkey detects but won't communicate and USB is V0.00... this really bites as i have a fund raiser to play at coming up....
carlomarcos
Hi Guys. Thanks to your response. i guess the issue is the USB Chip inside it. :( i found a video on youtube that has the same issue i experiencing and he changed the usb port also the usb micrcontroller chip inside the pod. :(
bjnette
My fix was to uninstall the drivers only in the uninstaller and restart the computer with POD HD connected and it would automatically install drivers and work. Download an older driver version before hand. If I did it via Monkey would not be work and not be seen by my PC nor EDIT.
Zoverman
I just bought a used HD PRO X and have the exact same issue... My computer recognizes the pod in device manager but has a little exclamation point on it. Edit and Monkey can't find the Pod. Am I screwed? I know this post is old, but I'm hopin' for a miracle. Have you downloaded and installed the Line 6 driver for the PRO X?
