mgriego007
I hope this isn't a dumb question, but if I run my dt25 via L6 link is it possible to run a second amp with the same patches via the 4 cable method?

You will need to set up 2 separate paths in the POD. Use channel A for the DT and set the L6 link properly to pull only channel A. Use channel B for your 4CM setup. Keep the mixer panned hard left and right and only stereo FX in the post section. You will want to avoid combining the two signals anywhere along the path... So I would still use an FX loop box in channel B to be able to put effects upstream and downstream of the pre-amp, correct? And basically just like in ghost busters, don't cross the streams? :-)
radatats
yep, that should work!

It's the distortion channel I'm haivng trouble with, namely I feel like I'm getting just power amp and no pre-amp. There is very little distortion at settings where there should be plenty. Master volume on the POD is at 100%. The second amp in this set up is a Mesa Boogie single rectifier. I am using no pre-amps or amps of any kind in the pod. I have the FX loop right before the blank amp block on the B path going to the Mesa and it's on. The only adjustment I didn't have a chance to fiddle with was the effects loop mix knob on the back of the Mesa. I believe I left it set at 90% which might be too much effects signal and not enough of the amp's tone? Thanks for any help you can offer. blessed1
Hi guys, I'm a little different than most. I play live, no FRFR, I like the sound of tube amps. I want true stereo separation. I use 2 amps on stage. I run the 1/4 in. outs from the HD500x into the effect returns of 2 identical amps. Each amp is mic'd and has it's own channel on the mixer panned hard left and hard right. I use only stereo effects post HD500x mixer. Most times I also run a dual signal path in the HD500x using identical amps there as well, placing an auto wah pre HD500x mixer on 1 amp only for color. My question is, to get true stereo output do I pan the path A & B of the HD500x mixer hard left & right? I thought I read in the advanced manual that paths A & B are both stereo each having a left and right channel. If that's the case, is it necessary to pan the mixer? Won't that just give me dual mono? Thanks, Lauren
joel_brown
I run this type of setup also. I hard pan the mixer L and R. I also put a digital delay on one path before the mixer and set it to a 20 ms delay and mix set at full. Here's my patch (it's for a PODHD Desktop). http://www.ChildrenOfTheGraveBand.com/BlackSabbath.hbe
