dutchgunz
Hi Everyone...I am not smart. and not good with electronics. So I am in need of help. I had to do a factory reset on my hd500 because I tried to update the firmware and it basically made it so it didn't work. so, I did a hard reset and it all came back to life. Unfortunately, I need to assign the footswitch to turn the volume up and down...for all the patches....does anyone know how to do this?? thanks in advance... dg
spaceatl
When I need volume, I assign the channel volume parameter to the pedal and set the max to whatever the channel volume is and leave the min at 0%. This is a DSP saving approach that leaves an FX slot open for something else. put the cursor on the amp, double click enter...spin the parm knob (1) until it's on the channel volume. change the controller (knob 2) to EXP 2 and set the min and max level accordingly...click View to get out and then save the patch. AlexKenivel
^this is what I do. Unfortunately there's no global setting, so y I d have to tediously change each patch one by one. I suggest doing this after normalizing volumes of the patches. Welcome to rocket science.
PeterHamm
Way easier way to handle this, if you don't mind doing it.Just use a volume pedal before the input. Seriously.
silverhead
That's a good option if you always want the Vol pedal in the same pre-everything-else position. Just for my own curiosity... In that situation is there any difference between using a Vol pedal vs. simply using your guitar volume knob?

Very little, but for me, I use the volume knob to "preset" an edge of breakup that I want to be able to drive into full gain... and the volume pedal is for swells and shutting the signal off for one reason or another.
