Zbluezman
Helix 2.01.0 frequently (2 out of 10) starts with the the message "rebuild presets". It takes several minutes for Helix to be ready to play. Anyone else have this problem?
klangmaler
Hold FS 10 & 11 at startup. All your patches will be transformed to latest FW.
silverhead
It's not a problem (bug) - it's normal and part of the design. Sometimes a firmware update, like the updates to v2.0 and 2.01, involve a significant change in the preset structure. That means old presets need to have their structure updated to the new format. This procedure is called rebuilding the preset. So at some point all older presets need to be rebuilt. This can take some time, and the design question for Line 6 is "When should we do this?" The decision was to do the rebuilding of each preset at the earlier of two points in time: either when the old preset Is first SAVEd as a changed/new preset, or at the next system startup. This means that the user is not delayed in their activities when an older saved setlist is imported. You can continue to play and edit without the rebuilding procedure at at that time. However at the next startup it occurs. ... And as mentioned above you can force this at any time if desired.
nippyjun
It sounds like all the presets are rebuilding every reboot if it takes several minutes. That is not normal behavior. I've had it where after the first full rebuild there are a couple presets that rebuild each time until I re-save the preset again.

shredriffs
Hello Helix Tone Curators, I just updated the firmware on my Helix floorboard. During the automatic restart portion of firmware update my Helix is stuck on "Rebuilding Preset 11." It also shows that I am now running Firmware Version 2.01.0. It's been stuck on this screen for about 10 minutes now. Should I just let it keep "rebuilding" or should I turn it off and proceed to powering the Helix on while holding down the two middle buttons like the instructions say. Any help would be appreciated because I am currently playing through my 15 watt Fender Frontman  Also, I've got my Helix plugged into the USB 2.0 port of my 2010 iMac running OS X Yosemite for more info. I would just power down and do the reset procedure. It sounds like the update went through OK. Doing the reset procedure will clear out any problematic presets and give you the updated factory presets.
