wrongaccount
I have a JTV-59 and somehow lost my VDI. A couple questions: Will a Bass XT Live work as interface for a Variax? Does anyone have a VDI to sell? (I can't see paying $100 for a new one.) Much obliged.
psarkissian
As to question #1,... no. They are okay for the older version Variax. But JTV's,... the earliest that would work would be an X3 Live. And that was with the earlier JTV firmware only. The later firmware is just with the VDI/USB interface. Make sure you JTV-59 is registered, then get in touch with Customer Support.
wrongaccount
Thanks for the important info. My Variax is registered. Why would I need to contact support at this time?
Rocco_Crocco
^^ because they may be able to take care of you...
psarkissian
I don't see it registered under your user name. Do you have more than one account? The reason for contacting customer support is that they are the ones who would issue a replacement if they okay it. A guitar VDI/USB is a simple thing. cbeattyjr
^^ I do have another user name and just noticed that my Variax isn't registered. I'm not sure what happened. Thanks for the reminder!
cbeattyjr
Just to close the loop on this. I did have some communication with Line 6 Support. To make a long story short - I was referred to Sweetwater to buy VDI/Workbench for $99.00. So I'm back to my original decision: Keep on without Workbench. By a VDI for $99.00. Try to find a used VDI. Find a good deal on a X3 Live.
