brue58ski
I'm trying to make a patch with two snapshots that only change the guitar model the Variax uses but I'm having no luck. AM I missing something or does it not do that?
CBTL
Yes they do! Make sure the input is set to variax, per preset and then set a controller to change variax model per snapshot. It's as easy as that 😀
silverhead
Also check your global setting for the snapshots Recall/Save parameter. If it is set to Discard you will need to save the preset before selecting another snapshot.
specracer986
All of the above will get you there. I save a model, volume and tone setting in each snapshot. I do it on the floor unit rather than using the editor, that way I'm sure it will stick per snapshot.
njglover
Yes they do! Make sure the input is set to variax, per preset and then set a controller to change variax model per snapshot. It's as easy as that I don't believe it has to be set to "per preset," though that may still be the better way to use it. It will work just fine set to global. You also do not need to assign it to a controller. Just press and turn the model knob and that enables it for snapshot use, then you can swap models however many times you want. If you are NOT using snapshots, then you will want to assign it to a controller, but then you can only toggle between two models.
silverhead
..... You also do not need to assign it to a controller. Pressing and turning the knob is a shortcut that assigns it to the snapshot controller.
CBTL
Pressing and turning the knob is a shortcut that assigns it to the snapshot controller. Every day is a learning day 😉
njglover
Pressing and turning the knob is a shortcut that assigns it to the snapshot controller. Technically I suppose. I think of controllers as physical buttons, but you are correct.
brue58ski
Thank you for all your replies. I think I need to reread the manual again.
