I might just being greedy or ill informed but would it be possible to get some of the effects that Firehawk has too? I am totally loved the update we just got, don’t get me wrong, but I noticed a couple effects that it has that helix doesn’t; like: bass overdrive, bronze master, hi-talk, POD purple x, warble-Matic, random s & h, tape eater, etc. I know some of them are not on there which I would love to see like Tech 21 bass sans amp but I am not sure if some are the same effects just with different names. I will have to double check. But what do you guys and gals think?

You can put your firehawk in one of the loops if you really want it badly.

Those effects are from the pre-HD days. I doubt you’ll see them on the helix platform. We’re fortunate enough that we got the HD/M series effects. I think you’ll find that you can get very close or better from the effects already in Helix. I gotta say though, that Bronze Master is uniquely cool. :)

I would just buy a Firehawk for the sake of the Bronze Master, however, it is not "Dual-Tone" - so, I would have to buy two of them or some additional pedal as well in order to achieve "dual-tone". Firehawk is not midi controllable. This is been the issue for a while now. Pod Farm 2 makes for some great sounds... However, You cannot TAKE IT TO THE GIG (easily)... Bronze Master is included in Pod Farm 2, as well. But,... tough to control at the gig! Same with Firehawk. When will we have EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF? What's the deal with "excluding things"? Why don't we just move forward - WITH EVERYTHING all under one roof? Someday... So close, and yet so far...

Never....something will always be excluded. No one unit will ever contain everything from every previous unit they've ever produced. It's impractical, and ultimately counterproductive. Each device is marketed to some target demographic...users with different needs, and more importantly from a business perspective, different budgets. Trying to dump them all into the one unit would be not only cost prohibitive, but would result in something that's unnecessarily complicated and difficult to navigate. Some will already never pay the $1500 that Helix costs, either because they simply can't afford it, or just can't justify it based on their needs. Now ask that same guy to pay 2 or 3 times as much for the "L6 Every-Tone" that includes every amp model and effect they've ever made. More is not always better,  despite what advertising has us all conditioned to believe. Eventually quality suffers in the relentless pursuit of quantity.
