Does Line 6 ever re-visit their amp models?

Hey guys, this is directed at the folks here from Line 6 such as Digital Igloo, etc...

Now that Helix is a fairly mature platform, I was wondering if you guys ever go back and re-visit the earlier models and make adjustments?

It just makes sense to me that as the newer models get better, some of the older ones might get looked at again.

Just wondering...Thanks!

Yeah, like Brue58ski said...they generally reposition a model if significant revisions are made. For example, the Uberschall model in the HD500 got redone, and they called the original the "Elektrik". The JCM800 got redone, and I think they they left it with the same name, but called the new one Brit 2204.

I'm pretty good with most of the "old" stuff, but really, REALLY wish they'd go back and redo the Dual Rectifier from top-to-bottom with all switches/modes/channels modeled. Also, go ahead and throw the Shiva's clean channel in too. That's just a headscratching omission. How the Soldano clean channel made the cut and the Shiva one didn't...I cannot pretend to know. Oh, and I guess a "de-squirrel" switch on the Dr. Z and Divided by 13 amps. That seems to be a thing for some people...

Same with some of the Variax guitar tones, and yes I know I can mess with it via workbench. I wish they would go back and redo the strat. Its ok, but there's just not enough "insert your word here" compared to many others I've played soundwise.

Yes.  I bought a variax when I was using my HD500X and loved the sounds I'd get out of it.  I absolutely do not like it through the Helix.  I think the Variax needs a major overhaul.  I love the concept of having so many guitars at my disposal and the guitar does play very nicely.....if you're using the pickups it's great....if you're using the modeled guitars it stinks.
