HX EDIT 2.82 is controlling Logic Pro X

Hey,

My Hx Edit is in some sort of conflict with Logic Pro X.
A simple patch change on HX EDIT calls out the plugin presets on the respective Logic track assigned to record (USB) and I cant find the connection point to break it off.

Is this familiar to anyone?

Thanks

Never seen it happen. I'm assuming you have some Helix hardware connect to the same computer. Perhaps (just a guess on my part) it is controlling Logic while you are editing. You could try going into Logic's Control Surfaces assignments and setup and see if that's what's happening. If so, you could temporarily deactivate it as a control surface.

Well, it's not HX Edit controlling Logic. It's the Helix sending out MIDI messages over the USB connection and those are making changes in Logic. If you don't need MIDI from the Helix into Logic, just go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo>MIDI over USB and set it to Off.

I was getting all kinds of insane behavior with HX Edit and my new Stomp XL: tons of errors, presets getting wiped, menu bugginess, it was terrible. I thought it was USB-C, or my adapters, or my cables, it was driving me crazy. Turns out it must be Logic spewing out MIDI that I couldn't see from the projects I was trying to integrate the Stomp into. Turning off MIDI over USB fixed it all completely. Might not have tried that were it not for this post. Thanks bud!
