mick-l6
I currently use an HD500X for live performance and use the lower 4 footswitches (5 - 8) extensively for effects. The switches are about 3 1/8 inches from center to center. What is the spacing between footswitches on Helix and LT?
Anderton
On Helix Floor, 2-3/4".
mick-l6
Thanks. Has anyone had problems activating the wrong switch by mistake?
silverhead
Yes. You can’t change the spacing so the only solution is simply to become more accurate with your feet. 1
codamedia
Like the Floor, the LT is also 2 3/4". I have no issue with the spacing... That doesn't mean I never have a mis-hit.... but I'm to blame for those, not the spacing.

Yes when wearing unfamiliar shoes. For me my set is quite a tap dance, so as ridiculous as it may sound, I practice the actual switching while wearing shoes I'll wear at the gig. My shoes of choice are Vans without shoe laces. Something flat no heels, etc for me. It took me some time to press buttons on the back row correctly, by arching the foot. And yes, I wish there was a step design like on HD 500X or the Kemper floor... Consistency is important, that's the bottom line with everything. themetallikid
I believe they make after market buttons that are much more mushroom shaped. Would eliminate some space between buttons in a way, but also give you a larger target to hit, or lift the backrow ones higher (in a sense)
theElevators
I also added 2 Grolsch washers to up/down buttons and the mode button to make them slightly more difficult to press. That seems to help with accidentally pressing those buttons.
