evolz
Hi guys I have my Shuriken Variax and helix connected together, just checking if you guys could suggest what guitar models pair best with which Helix amp models. Thanks.

silverhead
There’s no ‘best’ pairing for any amp/guitar models. All pairings work well in the sense that the sound will match the sound of the same pairing of the ‘real’ amp/guitar being modeled. If you mean ‘What pairings will sound familiar to me?’ then you should do a bit of research to find out what pairings were used by the artists who created the familiar sounds. Note that the playing style and skill is very important. Even with the same pairings you may not be able to produce the same sound. If you mean ‘What pairings will I like?’, only you can answer that be experimenting.

Thanks. There's really no answer to this question, as it's entirely subjective and dependent solely on what you're trying to achieve, tone-wise. If you want a SRV-style Texas blues tone, then choosing a Les Paul and a Marshall wouldn't help you... you'd go with a Strat and a Fender amp. But that doesn't imply that one combination is any "better" or "worse" than another... they'll just yield different results. If you genuinely don't know what your looking for, then trial and error is really your only recourse, until you find a combo you like.
