doganariz
Hi, i’m Ozan Dogan Ariz. Session- touring musician from Turkey. I bought Helix lt on March 2022. I’m on tour and i’ve played near 80 concerts since March and it’s really amazing but i have some problems with “tap” and c 3 keys for 2 weeks. We’re playing with metronome and i’m using tap tempo for every song. But when i use tap, it’s working different bpm to my foot tap and sometimes, i tap to c3 button and it’s open and then out of order. How can i fix it? I’m on tour and now helix is my main pedal board. best regards
codamedia
I'd love to help, but I don't know what you mean by "c3 keys" and "c3 button" Google translate to Turkish...

Also, i found this, and it might be worth reading through the information given by “silverhead” in the link below, to see if it helps. Hope this helps/makes sense.

I've never seen it referred to as C3. Line 6 refers to that button as FS10.... FS1 - FS6 is across the top, FS7 - FS12 is across the bottom. As for the problem, @datacommando has provided some great suggestions above to look into.

Although, as you are on tour at the moment, that would be a bad idea, because if anything should go wrong you would end up in an even worse situation. Also, in these type of situations, when things start to misbehave, it is a good idea to do a factory reset to try to clear any bugs. Once again, while you are on tour, this might not give you the result you need. I realise that the Helix LT is quite a financial investment, but as you are a touring/session musician, I would have thought that you would have a “fail safe” back up rig in the event of any equipment malfunctions. If you do have some reliable back up gear then you could try the fixes I mentioned above - if not, then sadly, you are stuck unless you are willing to risk trying a software fix. You do this at your own risk - no guarantee it will work. Hope this helps/makes sense. EDIT: I also found this - not sure if this is relevant, but Google translate: Merhaba, Bahsettiğiniz bu sayı (2.91) Helix LT'nizde bulunan donanım yazılımının sürümüyse, bunun olmasına yazılımda bir aksaklık olması durumunda, genellikle en son sürüme güncellemenizi tavsiye ederim.

PaulTBaker
just FYI, I had to change my tap tempo effects to set times because when I would step on it to get the tuner, sometimes it would think i was trying to change the tempo and really screw everything up. I am 100% sure most of the problem is my user error, however it was still a problem and changing to time based fixed it.

Hi, Most likely user error as the Tuner is expecting the F/S to be held down for access, whereas the Tuner generally requires a few taps to be able to figure out the tempo. It would be very odd if it could detected Tempo from a single hit. Hope this helps/makes sense.

PaulTBaker
yes, I understand. I have problems with other buttons. I have had to switch my boost and drive buttons to other buttons because they randomly don't work correctly.

I guess you have tried a factory reset on your hardware? It's the first thing to try when weirds stuff happens. Hope this helps/makes sense. PaulTBaker
No, thank you. I had not thought of that. I thought it was just the buttons (yes, I know I should call them Foot Switches (FS):)) were just dirty or wearing out. I will do a factory reset when I upgrade to 3.7 tonight.... maybe that will fix them. thanks
