Using fs 2-5 for effects and fs 8-11 for presets

Hi all,

On my pod hd500x I was able to select preset with the lower fs, navigate through banks with fs 1-7 and assigning effects of each bank to upper fs, all of this without the need of switch mode by pressing fs 6.

On my brand new Helix lt it seems I'm not able to do it: I hope I'm missing something... Anyone can help me?

Thanks

You would need to utilize the Command Center, and then setup whatever 'layout' you want and put Helix in Stomp Mode, using the Menu button.

go to any preset, stomp the menu button to go into stomp mode.  the buttons will likely all be blank, open up command center and you can program all the buttons (except tap tempo and menu) to be whatever you like (preset, snapshots, stomps)

Hi,

See Helix Owner’s Manual - page 66 - Global Settings > Footswitches

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Check out snapshots though!  They are a vast improvement over having to use presets/effects.  Otherwise, you are not taking advantage of the latest Line 6 software improvement...
