optofonik
I'm trying to restore the original factory presets. A backup of 2.x was overwritten due to an initial failure of the latest 3.71 update. When I attempt a factory reset now the Stomp "restores" the 3.71 presets, not the OG ones.
silverhead
Unless you have other backups you will need to have some kind soul post those setlists here for you. Another method would be to reinstall the older firmware and then do a factory reset with that. …. and it’s never a bad idea to make backups of the factory setlists immediately after a firmware update and reset ….

Hi, I honestly don’t know why you would want to restore factory presets from anything prior to the latest firmware update. That really is going backwards. Also, between July 2016, the first issue of FW v.2.0, until May 2020 there were 18 different iterations of that firmware ending on 2.92. Many, but not all, of those intermediate updates made changes in the Factory Preset lists. Some were added and others were dropped from the listings - so unless you know exactly which version of 2.x you had - well? If you really, really do feel the need to mess around with old Factory Presets, figure out which v.2.x firmware you had, then install that version and make a back up of the presets, then re-install v.3.71. Then you can choose which presets you wish to install. It may take you a while, so decide if you think it is actually worth the effort involved? Remember - Helix is a computer, a very specialised one, but a computer nonetheless. With computers you should always work on a copy, and have verified backups of all your important stuff, before commencing any updates. FAIL SAFE! Hope this helps/makes sense. EDIT: I may have some v.2x presets archived someplace - I will have a look, and see what I can find. It seems Line 6 only bother to supply v.3.0 presets - here: EDIT 2: O.K. Here ya go - I dug this out - all Factory Originals from v1.03, v2.30, v2.50, v2.80 and v3.1. IIRC, I got these from Ben Vesco (Malhavok), about a year back, after someone else requested them. https://benvesco.com/store/line-6-helix/ You will have to check out which you require - I have other stuff to do. Have fun! Original Factory Presets.zip
MusicLaw
@optofonikAlso know that should you opt to install any older version presets, always perform an Update Upgrade to Latest Format Power On Routine Following your installation of any of the older Presets to assure they brought into compliance with the currently installed newer firmware. For instance, if you are using a HX Stomp, you would Power On while holding the Upper and Lower Knobs to Rebuild your Presets. If using the Helix Floor, you would Power On while holding the F10 & F11 to upgrades existing presets to the latest format.
