New laptop (windows 11), HX Edit wont connect

So I downloaded the driver(s), HX Edit 3.82, OG Helix Floor has been running 3.8 since it was released.   0 issues with my old Win 10 laptop, connect to Win 11 laptop (Lenovo) and I get 'No Device Found'.  Also not getting windows audio through my Helix (as I usually do for jamming).

I'm not sure what to look for, I've googled, and this seems to be an issue when WIN 11 was first released, but everything is updated, and I dont see any issues recently.  I'm sure its USB Port related, but I'm at wits end to get this resolved.

I've dug into and turned off the power management for the USB ports/Hubs in device manager.  I turned off the memory intergrity, restarted, same results.

Any help??   My WIN 10 setup was flawless with connections, so I have a hard time believing 'try a new cord' is the solution.

Goto the Windows Sound settings to set the default playback device. I have two i7 Win11 boxes, one new and compatible and an older one that is theoretically not, both work fine with HXedit. Maybe try uninstalling, remove all L6 stuff (including in the registry if you’re comfortable using regedit) then reboot and reinstall.

From troubleshooting with help from TGP as well, I think I know what the problem is, I cannot get it to recognize Helix as an audio device.  I have installed the drivers (windows says the Windows USB 2.0 driver is the best for this device when choosing Helix Audio in the device manager).  When I go into the sound settings and try and choose the output device I have 'speakers' only.  I do not get any other options.   When I have device manager up and plug in the USB cord to Helix, I see these two items pop up.  The 'other devices - Msg Pipe' and Helix Audio.  I have updated the driver automatically and get the message that drivers are up to date, when I manually try and choose the driver from the windows>program files>line6>folders where the drivers install to, it tells me the Windows USB Audio 2.0 'best driver for your device is already installed'.

I think thats the issue, but I dont know how to correct that.

I’ve also noticed that sometimes I’ll get the No Device message and if I disconnect the cable, pause a beat or two then reconnect that fixes it. Just something else to try before you do the whole uninstall thing.

Never seen any of that.

yeah, I've tried googling that msg-pipe error and I can't find anything on that.  I've tried the other of 2 USB -A ports and its no different either way.  I'm heading to the store anyway, going to get a different cable.  Though I feel thats the equivalent of the 'unplug/plug it back in' theory, I can't see how a different cable could fix this issue.
