  1. Glad I found this! Came home today and im like you have my Helix turned on a lot of hours as I use it for my soundcard and also sometimes forget to turn it off overnight. Mine is also and early version bought early in 2016 and is in daily use. Came home today and house was all black, main fuse had been flipped. After a while I go to my PC and turn on the Helix (its connected to a remote outlet so the outlet hadnt been turned on after i flipped the fuse on again) turned it oin and only the small lcds flickered on the unit, smelled a bit burnt electronics in my room. After a while the small lcds displyes the labels, big lcd is black so i fired up HX edit and it finds the helix like usual but small lcds are flickering, starting a backup and halfway through the helix makes a popping sound from the power side and house turns black again. Opened it up and it's the same with mine, diode is burnt etc so im guessing power supply failure, i mean it happens with PC's as well etc. Its now all dead and black so im ordering the PSU you wrote and see if it helps, its 8 years old so warranty is out anyways. To bad tho the price on these things have risen 1/3 since i bought mine haha.

  2. Unfortunately there is no MIDI PC toggle command. I agree it would be a nice and useful addition.

  3. The Astro manual only talks about MIDI PC (program change) messages and doesn't mention MIDI CC messages, are you sure they are implemented? Source? PC messages are BankPC Commands in Command Center. Only set the Progam parameter and it should work with OMNI (any MIDI channel).

  5. Hi, You have encountered the Apple Gatekeeper, built into the Mac OS. To learn how to bypass this insane blocker go here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh40616/mac It is mentioned in the link provided by @SaschaFranck in the post above, but it may not be immediately obvious. The rest of the offline installation routine will work as described in the rest of the linked post from Sascha. Hope this helps/makes sense.

  7. Please, please add a mode that will show the Preset Name instead of name of the effect. I am using two external buttons to scroll up and down through the presets. For the sake of argument, let's imagine I am only using one effect type, PolyPitch. I can have several presets with various settings saved, but for all of them the display will simply show "PolyPitch" and not my custom Preset Name. All the different sounds are indistingushable when labeled that way and the only way to navigate is to try them by ear. This is catastrophic and renders the unit useless for me... (I realize, that the list view is the intended way to do it, but with external footswitches it practically doubles the amount of clicks needed to operate the unit). It gets worse! To see the Preset Name at all I have to enter the list view by pressing both footswitches. Both footswitches are also needed to access the tuner. It is very easy for one footswitch to slip while holding both of them in order to access the tuner - the pedal will then either enter the list mode or activate a preset. I also wish there was a way to cue the presets with external footswitches from the single effect view. External footswitches would scrool through presets and the built-in ON footswitch would activate it. Those behaviours are native to other Helix products and as a seasoned HX Stomp user I can't wrap my head around this not being implemented in HX ONE, especially because of the small form factor. Best, Janko

  8. Thanks, sadly that is not the point. The Preset Mode is not really a “Mode”, but a scroll screen for preset selection and there are multiple issues with it, as described above. Best, Janko

  9. Couldn't agree more! I am having the same frustration. Thanks for posting this. Hopefully there will be a resolution or I am going to return the pedal.
