Does anyone have news of any edit software for the dl4 mk2 Love the Sound but spend way too much time trying to workout if I'm at fault or is it the pedal. Am I the only one who thinks line6 should come out with some editing software for us. would save my back and my sanity. Thanks Forbes.

Hello! My KB37 has served me flawlessly for years, but now the mod wheel has started misbehaving. Unless it's at the top position, it randomly sends out MIDI data without me touching it, which can mess up automations etc. Time to open up the device then - so is there's a guide for fixing this issue, or should I just wing it? Cheers!

Yes...calmly go to his mixing board, identify the Trim/Gain knob at the top of your channel and point out which direction he should turn it to bring the signal level down. Tell him in the industry we all refer to that as "gain staging"......

Hi guys. I'm Adam from Poland. Having POD XT since I bought in 2006 being in Miami. Few weeks ago during performance I noticed the volume pedal didn't work - in every position the volume was high or there was no sound at all. When I kicked the pedal with my foot it started work normally for a very short period of time. So I decided to disassemble my unit. The optical sensors looked fine, anyway I cleaned it out with the soft cloth - but this was not a reason. Accidentally I touched the 6 or 7 line cable that connects the pedal board with the main board. The POD XT was still powered and I heard in the headphones some crackles. The plug was secured on the pedal board with the hot glue. I removed it and unconnected the cable. I cleaned the contacts pins, put it back together and secured it back with the hot glue. I think sometime you need to squeeze the contacts (not too strong!) where the pins come in to make the signal come through. At evening when I played 4 hrs gig there was no problem with the volume pedal (nor with the Wah effect). The small problem occurred when the pedal was in the hill position. The volume was not utter muted - I still heard some silent sound. The pedal calibration helped out, but only until I switched the unit off and put it back on. The silent sound was still heard in the pedal hill position on every patch. Next day the problem disappeared - can't explain why... So, remember about cable too. Not only of the optical sensors. Sorry, I should have taken some pictures, but I haven't...

When I first got Helix, I immediately loaded Ownhammer IRs, having been convinced by my reading and researching that the stock cabs were inferior. Initially I loved them, but eventually my ears started being acutely aware of the really dramatic EQ'd qualities of the different IRs. I heard exactly what you describe. After working with one for a while and dialing it in, I'd switch to another and it would sound like I was playing in a tin can. Over time my ears would acclimate, then switching would again would put me back in the tin can. It was the recent discovery that you could have IRs change with snapshots that really drove it home: I'd dial in one good sound, switch IRs and whatever else for the next snapshot and dial in another good sound, but in use switching back and forth left them both sounding hollow and "off" all the time. So, long story short, I've gone back to the stock cab sims and haven't looked back. I've been using variations on this guys approach, which has me getting really nice results. I've posted this video a few times recently, but I think it's worth watching. It was a real game-changer for me. I recently did a full factory reset of my Helix due to troubleshooting some other stuff and haven't bothered to re-load any of my IRs. Don't know that I will.
