I can create a backup, restore it, let it rebuild presets, shut the floor unit off, holf fs10 and 11 to force preset rebuild, then save a complete backup again Next time I start up the helix, it will rebuild presets again. How can I stop this?

Helix 3.15 Auto Engage Bug - not saving behavior
pipelineaudio1 replied to pipelineaudio1's topic in Helix
I'm not sure if there is a way to search but my bug report is ticket ID : 426507 if anyone can add to it for Pete, who seems to be going above and beyond to get this figured out. -
Helix 3.15 Auto Engage Bug - not saving behavior
pipelineaudio1 replied to pipelineaudio1's topic in Helix
I've made an update to this showing how to repro in real time. Pete at Line6 support is having trouble repro-ing this so if you guys could help fill in details for him that would be awesome! -
Helix 3.15 Auto Engage Bug - not saving behavior

Ahh thank you!!! No fun when you are the only one seeing a bug -
Changing to heel down, saving, then changing presets, sets the behavior back to toggle, as seen in this video

Helix Native Loading a blank screen
pipelineaudio1 replied to pipelineaudio1's topic in Helix Native
Line6 support had me try that, I cleared them all, hut afterwards, the computers that previously worked worked, and the ones that gave a black screen gave a black screen -

To clear it up, if I use the XLR and 1/4" Main outs as separate output paths (xlr path having the cabinet and 1/4" path not having a cabinet), both paths will play in helix native, playing the no cab signal alongside the cabinet signal
-
If you only plug send one out, will it sum to mono? If not, what can I do to be sure send 1 has both channels' information

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! 3.15 knocked this out of the park!!!! -
Or keep a single send from collapsing the following path to mono? I see send 1, 2, 3, 4 and fx loop 1,2,3,4 but no 1/2 or 3/4 for either. In my case this is for a cab going to the xlr but no cab going to the 1/4". I don't like using the separate outs at the very end of the path since that means both paths will show up if I use the preset in Helix native

Can't get Helix Native to start after log in
pipelineaudio1 replied to JamesM105496's topic in Helix Native
What a bummer. At work I have completely replaced my other guitar amp sim software with Helix Native, but if I need to fix something on my mobile I can't log in. I have to wait till I'm home where it also works. Being that the demo doesn't have this problem, it is surely fixable. We had to create a special offline patch for our software for cases where we can't figure out why web based authorization won't work, so its definitely doable. -
Does anyone else have massive trouble getting 3m dual lock to lock? I have a ton of trouble pushing it down and making it stick. It may be that the helix for instance and the Pedaltrain may be bending a bit, but even on stuff like expression pedals it can be hard to get it to lock for me

Can't get Helix Native to start after log in

Has anyone found a working solution to this? I went through with support, but they had no solution in the end either, maybe there's a trick out there? -
Do you know which outputs and which switch position I should use for powering a Line 6 G30 Relay receiver with a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus?

Is there a quick and easy way to mirror the way the floor controls its parameters with the Helix floor and Helix native? I really like that I can move presets between the floor and the VST, but not really sure if I'll mess up controller assignments by changing them in native. Also, I really would love to use the snapshots and expression pedals the same way as I would with the floor, without messing up my floor's assignments if I need to move the preset from native to the floor.

Would it be bad to have wait time added to the midi bypass control? -
You mean spend 200 dollars when you only need one mains cable and 1 9v out? I'm close to doing it anyway for the convenience, but damn what a waste of money!
-
Craig how did you do that? I have only my Helix and a Relay G30 on my pedalboard, I didn't want to buy a whole brick just to power these two, but I've LOVE to be rid of that damn wall wart on the relay. What did you do for this?

https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/On-off-option-for-wah-auto-engage-to-fix-snapshot-bug/1026321-23508 On/off option for wah auto engage to fix snapshot bug It is very hard for me to put this title into short but catchy words so if anyone has a better title, let me know and I'll edit it. The problem: Using an expression pedal to "auto bypass" say a wah results in a bypass toggle rather than actually specifying bypassed or enabled. This causes the wah to often be in the wrong state and turn off when it should turn on in snapshot situations, as documented in many threads such as: https://line6.com/support/topic/47968-auto-engage-and-snapshots/ From page 50 in the Helix manual "For example, moving EXP 1 forward past the heel down position can enable a Wah or Poly Wham block, and returning EXP 1 to the heel position will bypass it again" This is not actually true. When using this method, the Position parameter actually determines the toggle point. Whatever state the wah is currently in, going past Position will toggle it. Example problem case: Lets say you have enabled your wah and the wah is on and everything is working fine. You are done with your wah movements and lift your foot off with the pedal halfway thru its travel, but above the Postion value You now switch to a new snapshot where you specify the wah being bypassed. The wah is in fact bypassed and all is fine, until; You decide you need the wah on so you move it forward. Since it has not crossed Position, it stays bypassed Well, OK, you just rock it back to heel down passing thru Position Oops! Now the Wah is ON on heel down, but moving it back towards toe down bypasses the wah once you pass Position Suggested (but not really working) workarounds: Put the expression pedal in per preset mode. Same problem, the bypassed/enabled state can still flip the wrong way (and can happen in presets as well as snapshots!) Put the expression pedal in global mode (snapshots will no longer bypass the wah, though you could set the mix to 0% for snapshots where you KNOW you'll never want a wah) What DOES work (with caveats, and silly to need to do) which hopefully Line6 can implement in the EXP Bypass method: According to the manual on page 51 "Incoming CC values 0-63 turn the block off; values 64-127 turn the block on" Unlike auto-engage with the EXP pedals, this is not a toggle. So as silly as this sounds, plugging the MIDI out of the Helix back into the MIDI in of the helix can work far more closely to the intended behavior! The video at this link shows proof that MIDI controls the bypass state as claimed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vr4ihix5usjy0zc/2021-07-25%2012-07-12.mp4?dl=0 I was wrong about the stretching, so ignore it when I say that in the video, as I learned a bit later. This next video shows the wah working with wherever you set the MIDI value so you can pretty well emulate the Position parameter that you attempted to use with the EXP pedal: https://www.dropbox.com/s/750xhpkcifzcd19/2021-07-25%2012-25-58.mp4?dl=0 Desired Behavior: Have at least the option to change the EXP pedal bypass method to On/OFF rather than toggle, like MIDI control of bypass can do. ( I can see use cases where toggle would be the desirable behavior, so it would nice to chose) Still able to have the wait time as it is now An option to turn the wah on by moving it even if it is currently past the Position value, and of course turn if back off once it goes under Be sure that this works as predicted with snapshots, especially if that snapshot is meant to start with the wah bypassed Of course all this applies to other FX such as the whammy and others that would be nice to auto engage

Helix Native Loading a blank screen
pipelineaudio1 replied to pipelineaudio1's topic in Helix Native
Line6 support got back to me, and like we had thought, there seemed to be more than one user who never did get this thing to work with the same issues, it wasn't a bug that got fixed a ways back, its an ongoing problem. -
