Can you provide more details on the device backup failure? For example, does it fail immediately, or does the backup process run for a while first? Where on disk are you attempting to save the backup?

If you run the Play Store app on an Android device that explicitly does not support USB Host Mode, the Play Store will not show Spider Remote. While many Android devices claim to support USB Host Mode, many of the implementations are problematic.
